[No one's POV]

Ever have a day where everything that is usually monotonous becomes unusually irritating and stressful, you continuously yawn throughout the day, wanting something interesting to happen to you, and, at the end of it all, you feel like you want to repeatedly bash your head into a wall until you let all of your frustration out?

That, in summery, was exactly how Kirishima felt.

He was sick and tired of not being selected to do anything more than being on pay-check duty! His colleague, Ashido, was recently appointed as a receptionist, purely because her bubbly attitude was attractive enough to welcome in and ease the minds of most people. His other colleague, Sero, was appointed a week ago to become a forensic accountant, his income increasing by a decent amount.

What he failed to understand is what they had that he didn't!

Well, maybe he was slightly boring, which was why he wasn't suitable enough to be a receptionist.

And maybe he was slightly under the burden of a few overdue pay-checks.

But it was only by a few days! And he wasn't the worst person there! Monoma was potentially one of the most laid-back workers in the building, but the fact that he was the auditor was annoying for Kirishima. Whatever the bad things about him were, however, the redhead reckoned his perfect looks, manners and friendliness made up for it.

To say the least, Kirishima was both pissed and drunk... sorta. He felt like crying over achieving nothing close to a pay rise. He did ask his boss, but all the man did say was that he "needed some character!"

He hated to agree with him, but he really did!

If he did, maybe he wouldn't be frowning at ever piece of paperwork that gets placed on his desk to preview. Or another boringly long document he had to sign after having to read the size-font 10 Terms and Conditions first.

Kirishima groans, walking down the road, his laptop slapping against his back without care. He felt like he was sleeping with his eyes open. Each minute seemed to pass by like an hour. Everything was pretty much slow motion and he felt like his emotions were draining as fast as his energy and will to wake up to the exact same day tomorrow.

For once, Kirishima didn't actually want to go home. Instead, he found himself wandering down an unfamiliar route. He didn't need to worry about getting lost, since he had a phone with him, but he couldn't help look at the shop he had conveniently stumbled past, a cosy little café almost inviting him in.

An idea sparks into his head and, despite his desperate need to save money for his next month's rent, the pleasant image of himself seated comfortably on one of the plush-looking couches with a cup of coffee in his hand - sipping the sweet beverage peacefully, gentle music playing through his earbuds, feeling relaxed whilst looking through the pay-checks - fuelled his burning desire to a point where it became the final decision.

With slight hesitance, he walks in, the bittersweet smell of coffee and warmth immediately wafts into his direction, making his mouth water and his knees almost tremble. He already felt he might spend potential hours here relaxing and feeling all his problems practically melt away.
