[Izuku's POV]

"Fight me." Kacchan growls out, extending his hand out towards me. "Right here. Right now."

This sent me on a flashback to our first year, when Kacchan had first challenged me with those exact words.

A lot has changed since then.

My relationship with Kacchan included.

Seeing that slight light-hearted smirk from Kacchan instantly caused a large grin to effortlessly spread across my face and, wholeheartedly, I accept his challenge.

"Alright, Kacchan! Show me what you've got!"

I guess this fight takes me back on our journey. Together. Fate couldn't seem to separate us. We could've easily gone our separate ways in our first year of UA, pretend that the other never existed. It could've remained like that for the entirety of our time at UA!

But it didn't.

Somehow, I kept coming back to the same red-eyed, short-tempered, hot, cute, fluffy-haired boy that I fell for since first laying eyes on him when I was 5.

We start in our battle-ready stances, slowly starting to circle one another. I hardly blink and Kacchan already comes rocketing at me with explosions from one hand, the other heated brightly and preparing for an attack.

Of course, we trust each other so much that we hardly hold back on each other. His explosion would be nasty to come in contact with but we were both perfectly capable of avoiding and counter-attacking. So, I swiftly swirl, manoeuvring around him to attack his back which was, at the time, vulnerable.

Ever since the incident at Ground Beta, Kacchan continued to come back to me. Now knowing my secret about One for All, he subtly encouraged me. He has an odd way for words. To others, it sounded like he was insulting me but, because only the two of us know that secret, he was almost challenging me. That he was still waiting for me to catch up with him.

He still believed in me!

I land a punch to his upper back, away from the gash on his lower back that he had earned from endurance training a few days ago. There was still a slight amount of care into our attacks. Because we both love each other so much!

Kacchan obviously could sense the attack was coming and used his explosions to flip himself over my head. One thing I have found out, over the years, was that Kacchan's quirk and figure help him become aerodynamic in the air, meaning he will have an advantage against many people. It's why he isn't incredibly bulk, like Sato.

His movements were so graceful and perfect, twisting mid-air and aiming a large explosion downwards. I use my quirk to slide out from under the attack, using my fist at 100% to blow Kacchan out of the air. I then sprint up to him, channelling all of my adrenaline to swoop a leg under his own ones, which were off balance. I attempt to jump up and pin him down but, quicker than a blink, he rolls out, creating more explosions and dust to impale my vision.
