[No one's POV]

Every one knows Eijiro.

Every one knows who he is and where he's from. The Kirishima's are a descendent of purebloods, notorious for their natural skills in chasing for Quidditch, and general popularity for their personality. There wasn't anything to hate about Eijiro. He has a naturally friendly and out-going persona, and is never seen by himself anywhere on the campus. He has the looks too, and casually flirts with the girls, but only to get those comical reactions out of them.

On top of that, he was the most natural wizard in the whole of Hogwarts! Every spell he performs is perfected, every fight he's ever fought being every fight he's ever won, every potion concocted without fault (except when Aizawa points out the sickening mess he leaves behind every time), and is reputed for his excelling grades and easy collection of house points.

If that wasn't enough either, then him being a pure Gryffindor sure was! The Sorting Hat hardly hesitated when it had proclaimed Eijiro as Gryffindor, regardless of the fact that most of his family had traditionally been placed in Ravenclaw (On a random side note, for fun, Eijiro had dyed his hair bright red, with Gryffindor as the theme). He then further proved himself as a Gryffindor on the several occasions where he pulled the Sword of Godric Gryffindor out of the hat, and had saved a handful of classes from being attacked by trolls. Again, this helped him gain popularity.

No one knows Denki.

Well, a few knew him, but only those who were in his Herbology class. Besides that, no one really cared about him. He was simply another background character. Still struggles with some spells, always does something wrong in transfiguration, can hardly stay on the broom or control it. If he were popular in the school, he'd probably be known as 'The Guy Who Always Messes Up In Potions' because, oh God, Denki was horrible with that subject.

He was a half-blood, though more on the muggle side. His mother, a witch, was a descendent of two mudbloods, his father being an electrician. Clearly, he wasn't an interesting or approachable person, always cast into the shadows. The only subject he could particularly shine in is Herbology, and even then, being the lowly Hufflepuff that he is, he was modest about it, silently learning about different herbs and ingredients to make basic remedies and studying different wounds and plants. He was simple - invisible - irrelevant.

But how did the two happen to become friends?

Somehow, Eijiro had decided to approach Denki and, hence, a relationship was established. Denki would always talk to Eijiro whenever they'd walk between classes that only the two had, and Eijiro would occasionally approach Denki first. It was hard though - having so many friends could sometimes cause the redhead to ignore Denki unintentionally. He was used to it, though. It wasn't anything new.

What he did loath about himself, however, was whenever Eijiro would take on an invader.

It has happened before. Eijiro and Denki are walking around the courtyard one day when a few rogue dementors had attacked. It wasn't unusual seeing them turn up, but normally students would scream for a teacher. Well, except the two of them. Although whilst Denki tries to think of a time where he was happy, meekly casting a weak shield, Eijiro already summons a Patronus, banishing the dementors in a flash. Such a show had earned him fame and a week's worth of gossip. Denki, on the other hand, would remain shunned by the crowd, pushed away from the beaming and prideful redhead.
