"Mum!" I yelled happily once she answered the call. I was back in the dormitory with Jungkook, who was in the bathroom doing something. I was stretching my arms widely as it felt cramped and just sitting on my bed.

"Hey, sweetheart!" Mum shouted back with the same enthusiasm I had. Smiling widely, I tap my feet joyfully. "How are you? You haven't called me in weeks!"

"I'm sorry, is just, a lot of things had happened when I came to this school, I just don't know where to start!" I said in excitement, rocking back and forth on the bed.

"Don't worry! I have all day so tell me everything that so far had happen! Alright, sweetie?" She chirped and I nodded with a smile as though she was in front of me. "Did you meet any charming boys?" She started and I groaned out loud when my mind immediately drifted over to my roommate.

"Well... there's lots." I started and I could hear her shouting merrily. "I don't even know where to start."

"Haha, is fine!" She chuckles lightly. "But are there any boys that are considered charming you're close to?" She questions curiously and I could feel like she's winking at me. Man, I don't feel like talking about Jungkook, but my mum is like my best friend and I share everything with her.

"Well, I have this roommate who's call..." Turning around, I quickly check if Jungkook was there, eavesdropping on me or trying to scare me from behind. He wasn't. "He's called Jungkook and he's the principal's son." I didn't want to tell her that the principal was her ex-husband or that'll freak her out.

"Oh my god- what!?! Why are you roommates with a boy?!" She demanded, as though she was suspicious.

"Mum is not what you're thinking-"

"Of course is not." She said, and I felt her smirking. "You're thinking strangely again honey, don't think that way alright?" Laughing out loud hysterically like an immature adult, I heard her clapping her thighs. "But is kind of romantic if you get what I mean sweetheart."

Facepalming, I can't believe my mum was still the same. My bottom lip started shaking as I pouted. I realize how much I miss her- she was the only family I ever had since my grandparents left me.

"Mum, how have you been?" I asked her, blinking rapidly to avoid any tears coming out and focus on my breathing. "Are you doing well?"

"Yes, I've been doing well honey but I've felt lonely these past days without you." She laughed, but this time it sounded sad. "Are you eating well? Is the cafeteria food delicious?"

"Not as delicious as yours... mum, I miss you." I fidget with the plain shirt I was wearing as I tried to imagine that she was next to me, hugging me.

"I miss you too. Y/N, I hope you're keeping your health a priority. Don't stress too much, alright?" She said, in her loving tone that I've always heard

"I know," I said. "Don't worry much about me. You should worry more about yourself since you're growing older and weaker each day."

"That's not true!" She argued cheerfully. "Every day in the morning, I always go out for a run and I'm always on a healthy diet! Trust me, Y/N! I'm a very healthy person. Healthier than you probably." I laughed at her confidence and I heard her slapping her chest. "Anyways, how are your studies going? Not that I'm worried but you're not stressed all over right?"

Oh...

"Well, I'm not exactly stressing over studying but something else..." I said, scratching my hair and tapping my feet anxiously.
