"What does lynching even mean?!" I groaned out loud, shoving the paper down and laying onto the bed, having thoughts of giving up. I was sitting on my bed, with Namjoon beside me who was typing away while reading through the riddle that the murderers have given us. The others had left the room an hour ago to start their tracking of Taehyung and had decided to start on section 1.

"You have a laptop in front of you, are you that lazy to search it up?" Namjoon questions me and I sat up, pouting over at him who had his eyes focus on the laptop screen, ignoring me. "To put it short, lynching means killing someone, especially hanging them." He explained and I nodded thoughtfully. "Of course they don't think is bad, they kill people themselves after all... what a pity." He muttered in disappointment.

"Why does lynching reminds me of leeches despite having different meanings?" I murmured, blinking in confuse and Namjoon chuckled.

"Just because they both start with L?" He questions and I shook my head.

"You don't get it... by the way, I wonder if they're going to be alright?" I asked, my mind drifting towards Jungkook, already missing his presence. "Why can't they be accompanied by other polices too?"

For once, he turns his attention towards me, and blinks. "Don't worry, just put your 200% trust in them and everything will be alright." He reassures me with a gentle smile, showing his dimples. "I get that you miss your boyfriend but hold on alright? I'm sure he misses you too." He laughs, drifting his gaze back to the screen and I frowned.

"Wait- hang on a second, how did you know we're dating?" I asked, cocking my head and he sneakily smirk.

"Jungkook told us yesterday when you were in the shower. Pretty surprising that you'll agree to date him despite the things he had done to you."

"You're saying I shouldn't have agreed?" I questioned, pursuing my lips and he shook his head.

"Nah, nah. I'm not saying that you shouldn't have agreed." Namjoon said and I expected him to elaborate more but he stayed silent, reading an article that related to the riddle.

"And?" I pressed him for more information but he gave me an enigmatic smile, refusing to say anything else. I grabbed his forearm and started swinging him back and forth for the answer while whining but he ignored me.

I decided to stop bugging him and grab my laptop, putting it harshly on my lap. I decided to procrastinate since my brain isn't exactly working to solve the riddle. Pressing on a new tab, I pull up Netflix and decided to finish a K-drama, Crash landing on you.

Crash landing on you is a story about a South Korean woman who went paragliding and a storm coincidentally showed up, pushing her into North Korea where she met a military man. Those two had gone through many different scenarios to get the South Korean woman back into her country. During the process, they both fell in love with one another which results in a super adorable K-drama but also very emotional as I had cried a lot. I wholeheartedly recommend this K-drama and if you haven't watched it, you should!

Okay, enough of the rant, now I'll just enjoy this K-drama in peace while ignoring Namjoon glares.

9:25pm

"Oooh, silent night, holy night." I sang, my hands clasped together and my knees folded. "All is kalmmmm and all is bright," I said slowly, letting the words last longer and Namjoon turned to look at me, scrunching his nose as though he was dealing with an imbecile.

"Round yon verrrrrgin, mummy and chillddd, holy infant, so tender and mild." I drawled, rocking left to right, noticing Namjoon sighing in irritation as though he wanted me to stop. I was so dead in the head that I don't even know what to do anymore but sing Christmas carols. "SLEEEPP IN HEAVENLY PEACEEEEEEE, oOOoh, SleEeeP hEavenly peace."

I started humming after, following the rhythm of the song that was playing in my head, and continued. "Silent night, holy nigh-"

"My ass the night is silent with someone singing like a dying cow." Namjoon provoked, sending me an icy glare. "Can you please analyse the quote while I'm keeping track of the cameras, ensuring that the others are safe?" He asked sternly, expressing his annoyance as he seems to not like me being useless.

"Oops, sorry... my brain is completely fried from this riddle so I'm a bit dead right now. But okay, I'll do it now," I said, putting my hands flat together, gesturing him to trust me and he rolled his eyes as he look back towards his laptop.

Tch...

Snatching the paper violently from the bed, I continue reading it several times quietly, trying to comprehend each of the words. I'm not used to unlocking riddles, as this is my first time trying to do one which meant I'm not experienced. But is base on logic and common sense... something I don't have.

'Located underneath, lays a crying boy.'

Hm...

"From the last two sentences, we can understand that it means Taehyung is located under a building or something and he's crying," I explained and Namjoon gave me a look as though he wanted to judge me for how stupid I am.

Biting his lip, he caresses his chin and sighed. "Y/N, that's not very helpful as is quite obvious," Namjoon admitted and my face dropped harshly and I looked away, pouting. "Thank you though, at least you tried to help."

Thank you for your sympathy, Namjoon. I still feel bad for myself for being completely stupid and oblivious. Rubbing my forehead with two of my fingers, I let out a disappointed exhale and clutch on the paper, slightly shaking from all the stress that overwhelmed me because of this stupid riddle.

I get stress easily if is something difficult for me to understand and I'm currently not in the right mind to do this. But we only have a week and I don't think is enough.

Scratching my neck, I pouted, placing the paper down back onto the bed and wanting to lie down and sleep. I wish I could take back my word of thinking it'll be exciting... it sucks a lot.

I glance over at Namjoon, who somehow was still staring at his laptop screen intently, seemingly to not lose any motivation. I don't exactly blame him because he's watching over the others while I'm just here trying to break down the quote.

Suddenly, there was a loud and demanding knock on the door, making me nearly pissing myself and Namjoon flinched a little. Our gaze drifted towards the door, as the knocking continued.

Wordlessly, I turned to look at Namjoon, biting my lips as I was unsure of whether to be scared or not. Namjoon gave me the same look, but his eyes widened as though he didn't want to be here.

Who's going to open the door?
