Forced Apart- Dui

Neither of you wanted this but under the King's orders you two were no longer able to see each other. Not while you were in danger. Dui had to keep his distance, forced to watch you from afar.

While you had no way of seeing him at all. You didn't have a reflecting pool that would show if he was okay. You had to live with the fact you may never see him again... As long as there was disagreements about a human and a god loving one another there was no way the two of you could be happy together.

Being forced apart was simply torture for the both of you. Never so much have you wanted to see someone so desperately. Your heart ached for him. And it troubled Dui to see you struggling without him but with no way of easing your pain. All he could do was watch, like a movie playing out in front of his eyes but had no clear ending. He couldn't alter the course of fate. No matter how much Dui wanted to bring you both back together he was powerless to do so.

Life lost all meaning the day you two split. That final tearful goodbye played through your mind over and over. Even haunting you in your sleep. And Dui was no better as he experienced your pains alongside you from the heavens.

You both became the very definition of star crossed lovers. As it seemed the heavens never would accept you no matter how much the department gods and the king tried to sway their hearts. It was useless. It was a forbidden love after all.

As time went on the King allowed for one day, but only one day a year that you two may be together under his protection. That day was always the happiest and most agonizing day of every year as you always had to say goodbye.

Dui watched as you slowly grew older every time he saw you while he remained young until you grew old and gray but your love for each other never faded.

Even after you died Dui continued to love you with all his heart and swore he'd never forget you. Not ever. You would always be his most precious goddess.
