Everything becomes 10X then it was before not only because of what he became but also because of what the world has become.
Although his darling is always by him, they are also kept at a distance. Only far enough to were when he turned, they could be seen.
When he is not out terrorizing the street, he and his darling stay in a sort of den he made just for the two of them and the animals that guard the place. (Most likely in some zoo.)

Although he doesn't talk as much as he did before he still shows his darling how much he cares for them in little ways.
He still craves his darling's touch even if he goes back to the mindset of no one should touch him.
He will kill without hesitation, that is a given, but depending if the person was trying to hurt or take away his darling then their death will be much more painful. (Even if it was another remnant.)
His darling is still his top priority making sure they are comfortable and will cared for.
He will never let another remnant near his darling no matter who it is. (It doesn't matter if their relationship was good or bad before everything, he won't trust them with his darling no matter what.)
Even if he has killed hundreds and had a hand in the world's downfall, he will always love his darling and will protect them with his very life.
