Both aren't really that delusional aware of the consequences of their acts if they were found out. (Metal bat is more worried about people finding out than garou is.)
Both are willing to do many things in order to get their darling. (Threats, getting rid of others etc.)
Metal bat is softer towards their darling than garou.
This being said both have gotten into fights over their darling partly to do with how to treat them as well as other reasons.
Their darling could have a chance of leaving during one of those fights but as soon as they realize they are missing they are going to tear the city apart in order to find them.
Their darling could easily turn them against each other but there is a chance that they will quickly snap out of it and if it happens enough time, they will just act like they are fighting until the very last minute.
Tricks for this pair will only last so long and over time will even stop working if their darling did it too often.
