Both are deadly within their own right.
Both are manipulative however Kaede does it more often than maki does.
Both are more or less like bodyguards to their darling. Any one that they see as threats in anyway are not allowed near their darling.
Out of the two, Kaede does spoil their darling much more than maki does.
Then being said Maki is stricter with their darling than Kaede is.
Consider both those statements they do have little fights here and there about how to deal with tehri darling. (Technically their darling could use this to turn them against each other; however, it will only last for a short while.)
Both don't really fall for tricks but even if they do it won't last for long. (the time shortens even more with both of them.)
