He will definitely be easier to deal with than he would be as a romantic yandere.
He will try to keep them close but, in this case, would try to keep them in his friend circle. With just the four of them. (Himself, his friend, Taiju and Yuzuriha.)
He won't manipulate them as much as he would for his darling.
If he heard that they like someone he would see how they are. If he sees that they will be a good match then he will help them as much as he can but if he sees them as a bad person, he will do everything he can to get rid of them.
This being said he is soft to his friend (not to a pushover point.) not as much as his darling but it's still obvious to everyone who his favorite is.
He does still watch over them although it is less instance.
In the stone time he does still do those things but he does start to watch over them even more.
And he does become stricter about potential partners.
