"The prophet who has a dream,
let him tell a dream;
And he who has My word,
let him speak My word
faithfully.
What is the chaff to the
wheat?" says the LORD.
Jeremiah 23:28
I had to look up chaff, and when I did, somewhere I read about misinformation. Interesting, words can have so many meanings. This verse is talking about false prophets, and today, we just have flat-out liars.
The chaff is the part of the wheat that is useless, the part you throw out. God the prophet who has a dream, not one from the LORD, big difference. Many false prophets out there today looking to make a profit - be careful!
How can you tell? The true prophet will speak through Scripture and Scripture only, if he can. It can be tough, you must know the Word of God. Solution - read the Bible for yourself! Tell God you love Him!
The LORD bless you and keep you;
The LORD make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The LORD lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.
