Then Joshua said to them, "Do not be afraid, nor be dismayed; be strong and of good courage, for thus the LORD will do to all your enemies against whom you fight."
And afterward Joshua struck them and killed, and hanged them on five trees; and they were hanging on the trees until evening.
Joshua 10:25,26
Joshua, in the first verse, is talking to his captains. The antecedent for them in the second verse is kings, the five kings of the Amorites which included the king of Jerusalem. This threw me for a loop because I forgot others occupying the Promised Land.
After yesterday's verse, and God having His reasons, I need to do some more research on the five kings. I will tell you if I find anything interesting :-) Tell God that you love Him.
The LORD bless you and keep you;
The LORD make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The LORD lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.
