The Son Of God

     Then was fulfilled what was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet, saying, "And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the value of Him who was priced, whom they of the children of Israel priced,
    "and gave them the potter's field, as the LORD directed me."
                       Matthew 27:9,10

     First of all, it is so interestingly wonderful and amazing how God works.  I deleted an entry from this book, and I guess, well I know, that God wasn't finished.  I have one more verse to write that will explain better.  For those who don't know, God chooses these entries.
     The value of Jesus, thirty pieces of silver - wow!  The potter's field is called the Field of Blood.  The money used to buy this field was the money that Judas returned before he hanged himself.  Ok, here is the verse I was talking about -

     So when the centurion and those with him, who were guarding Jesus, saw the earthquake and the things that had happened, they feared greatly, saying, "Truly this was the Son of God!"
                       Matthew 27:54

     So they only noticed that Jesus was the Son of God after He died and God got angry.  I think there is an extremely important lesson here - don't be one of those people!  Commit yourself, and make time for Jesus and God.  Also, tell God that you love Him!

The LORD bless you and keep you;
The LORD make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The LORD lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.
