Time For God

Edom

    "Search from the book of the LORD,
          and read:
     Not one of these shall fail;
     Not one shall lack her mate.
     For My mouth has commanded it,
          and His Spirit has gathered them.
     He has cast the lot for them,
     And His hand has divided it among
          them with a measuring line.
     They shall possess it forever;
     From generation to generation they 
          shall dwell in it."
                        Isaiah 34:16,17

The LORD was talking about Edom, modern day Jordan. Bozrah was a city in Edom where Esau (Jacob's twin brother) lived. I don't totally understand Jacob and Esau.
I know the story, but I don't the why. Esau gave his birthright to Jacob, but why? He wasn't gonna starve to death. I need to reread that.
I researched this passage and don't have a clue - the true meaning. Is God talking to all the nations through Edom? I did get something from Malachi 3:16 (reference verse) about fearing the LORD. Only people that truly fear the LORD can understand anything about God.
What I mean is, many people don't fear the LORD, and nobody can make them. You aren't wasting your time talking to people about God, but they won't understand - they can't. I need to shut up now. Tell God that you love Him.

This is a faithful saying:

For if we died with Him,
We shall also live with Him.
If we endure,
We shall also reign with Him.
If we deny Him,
He also will deny us.
If we are faithless,
He remains faithful;
He cannot deny Himself.
