you were sitting in front of your laptop, checking your phone for any text from calum. a few days ago you planned to facetime your boyfriend since he said he'd have time off so the two of you could catch up on each others lives. the kiwi boy was currently touring the world with his best friends performing in new places for their fans. as much as you missed the boy with all your heart but was happy he was able to something he was so passionate about.

a notification lit across your phone, you body jumping and fingers racing to it. your eyes looked across the screen reading the text: Hey, sorry something came up where they squeezed in some stupid interview today. Hopefully we can catch up soon. Love you.

rubbing your face in annoyance, you rubbed your face, setting the phone back on the bed. you didn't feel like responding, your heart kinda upset with the situation but you understood, you just wanted time with him.

you laid your body down on the bed, a frown falling on your lips as your fluttering your eyelashes as tears filled your eyes. shaking your head, you quickly wiped them. you weren't gonna cry over this. instead, you pushed your self off the bed, wandering to the bathroom to take a bath, letting your mind drown in smell of lavender and vanilla.

...

it had been a few days since you talked to calum and you were kinda worried and annoyed than ever. he never did this, he would at least say hello and say what he was doing till he was able to reply back. its been four days and you got nothing. it was starting to eat at you and you couldnt shake away the sadness that now began to make you suffocate.

nights had been filled with sad music and drinking wine, thinking of happy thoughts and idea of what calum was doing. you missed him so much. you missed feeling his warm skin next to you as you slept. you missed the way 'i love you' rolled off his tongue. you missed sitting with him on the couch, legs tangled and hearts beating as one.

your feelings were so overbearing that you began to journal them down because you felt you had no one to goto. you felt like it was stupid to think like this. that you were just some clingy girlfriend that wanted attention. but it was more than that; calum was your sunshine and eternal happiness, he was your therapist and person that calmed your anxieties. he was the boy that made you feel like a million bucks even if you hadn't washed your hair in five days and wore pajamas. he was literally everything to you.

as you thought, you felt your head spin and your heart ache once again for the millionth time that week. picking up your phone, you opened spotify, scrolling till you found the song you wanted. amnesia began to play, your heart warming at the sound of his voice in the beginning.

'this one's for people who have been a fan of the band for about seven years now... if you know the words—sing."

the sound of your baby boy's voice filled your ears and tears fill your eyes. this song was always your favorite for some reason. the song had chilling sad lyrics but you still found comfort in it, even if the song was so depressing.

'It's hard to hear your name when I haven't seen you in so long'

tears streamed down your cheeks now and you were full on sobbing. you missed calum so much. you couldnt even describe how bad you wanted him at that very moment.

grabbing the pillow nearest around, you shoved your face in it letting out a sob. once the song ended, you sat there in silence, sniffling softly before pondered if you wanted call him. you bit your lip softly that gently quivered. your hand slowly crawled toward it, unlocking the device, thumb hovering over the call button on calums contact.

after some debating, you finally pressed the button, folding the cold glass to your cheek. it rang for a bit till you heard some noise.

"hi, baby," calums voice ringed in your ears, tears welling up once again as a small smile creeped over your lips.

"hi, i miss you so much." you were barley able to get out your words before you began to cry all over.

"baby, baby, baby, hey dont cry!" he panicked. "whats wrong, angel? talk to me?"

once he said those words, you let everything youve been holding in all out. it was a flood of emotions and crying over the phone and calum was all ears, listening to every word you had to say. after a long tine of talking, your throat became dry and tears dried.

"im done now," you mumbled. you heard calum chuckle over the phone as you drew shapes on the pillow.

"im sorry i didnt talk to you baby girl, i've been so busy. ill make it up to you though, okay? how about you—"

you heard a noise of the door, keys were trying to unlock the door. you peaked your head up and saw calum. "come to the front door?" you heard him say in the hallway. you threw your phone down and ran to him, seeing your boyfriend standing there. with open arms, calum stood there with a big smile before you ran into him, pressing your face into his chest, taking in his lovely scent. the tan boy laughed, squeezing you and kissing your head.

"told you i'd make it up to you, baby girl." he smiled softly. you felt your heart melt for him all over again like the first time you met him.

"i am so in love you calum hood." you said looking up at him straight in his beautiful brown eyes. calum leaned down, kissing your lips softly.

"i am so in love with you too, princess." he breathed against your lips. you felt your cheeks heat up before pulling calum in a other kiss, needing to catch up on the kisses and cuddles you've been needing to give.
