"lets go take pictures." he said, poking you. when you looked up, you met with chocolate colored eyes and a soft smile. you looked back at your laptop, saving your edit of photos you had taken the other day at the first show, closing it before grabbing your camera. no one didn't want to admit it, but there was feelings between you and calum. before, you were taking group photoshoots or singles but all them in the same room, but now calum was always asking for his own little photoshoots. you didn't mind, hell you were taking photos that's all you cared and loved to do, but you couldn't help but feel a little nervous now when shooting with the maori boy. "where do you wanna go?" you asked, the two of you walking out the dressing room down the hallway, you following the bassist. "um, i saw this wall that has some space, wanna try there?" he asked, looking over at you, who was messing with your camera settings. "sure." you nodded, looking up and sending him a small smile. after a short walk, the two of you were down a hallway, the white wall waiting for you in all its glory. the raven hair colored boy stood in front of the wall, shyly waiting for you to get everything ready. once you made sure exposure and aperture was perfect, you held your camera up. "so whatcha feeling like today hood? otherwise, i gave some ideas." you smiled. "let's use yours, you always have better thoughts for photos than i do." he chuckled, quickly biting down on his lip after to hold back his smile. a small giggle fell from your lips as you nodded, throwing your camera strap on your shoulder to show calum what you were imaging. "okay, i dont know about you, but these poses always remind me of matty healy but, try something like this." you giggled more, placing your hands flat against each other and bending your head slightly to the side. calum nodded, copying the pose you did. grabbing your camera, you hummed, notifying him he was doing it right and snapped a photo. after that, calum moved, fisting his hand and bringing right under his nose. "ooh yeah that's good too." you smiled, snapping that. this is how photoshoots went for the two of you, one person would sprout an idea and you'd just constantly bounce off each other, capturing silly, imaginative or editorial shots, depending on the day. today was pretty silly but had some editorial moments. once the photoshoot was over, the two of you were done and were walking back to the dressing room. "hey, y/n?" calum brought up, grabbing your arm lightly to stop you from walking. turning around, you looked up at him, since he was so tall. "yeah?" you asked, raising your eyebrows slightly waiting for him to say something. from the way he was standing, you could tell he was nervous over something, it was kinda cute. "i'm really glad you came back on tour with us." calum muttered, voice quiet only for you to hear. you couldn't help but smile huge. "i'm glad too. you're one of my favorite guys to work with, truly. you guys let me have so much creative freedom and have done so much for my career, i really cant thank you guys enough for it all." you admitted, your face feeling warm, maybe almost numb. you never confessed to calum or the rest of the bandmates about how grateful you were for them, letting you, a barley known photographer, tour with them last year and now this year. it was a blessing. calum was smiling too, pulling you in for a hug. taking the chance, your lungs were filled with the scent of the boy, your cheeks burning pink probably at this point. a nervous giggle fell from your lips as you pulled and the two of you looked at each other. quickly, he craned down to your hight, his lips swiftly pressing a kiss to your cheek. it all happened too quick for you to process. the next thing you knew, he was heading to the dressing room and you quickly had to catch up behind him. the rest of the time till the concert, all you could think about was that moment, hoping many more will happen in the future.

part 2

it was after the concert, you were exhausted after a long day of taking photos and was ready to take comfort in your bed on the tour bus. when you were putting away your camera gear, calum came up to you, giving you a small smile. "hey," he said quietly. "do you wanna come with us? we're going out." zipping up your camera you stood up and looked at him with a shy smile. "i'd love to, but, i'm really tired and i should really get a crack on editing the photos for you guys to post tomorrow." you frowned. "sorry cal." "it's okay, i understand." he nodded, stepping back a little bit. you turned back to your things, picking up your other equipment. "you know what, lets hang out." he blurted, causing you to look up at the boy. you looked at him confused and he cheeks got rosy. "ill stay back with you." calum elaborated. "really? its kinda boring, all i do is stare at photoshop all night." you giggled the two of you walking out of the room to the bus. "you can show me what you do, i dont care." he shrugged, grabbing one of your bags to help you. a smile spread across your lips, but to hide it, you looked at the floor as you got to the bus. you were in the second one since the band had their own separate one, but sometimes you'd hang out with them on theirs during the day. "if you dont mind, i'm gonna switch to something more comfortable." you chuckle, calum sitting down on the couch. "dont mind at all." he nodded, pulling out his phone and playing on it. while he did that, you quickly changed into your pjs and cleaned all the makeup off your face before you came out. calum had never seen you like this, dressed in a big tshirt and star wars pajama pants, but he was totally loving it. "the part i hate doing is having all the photos upload because it takes so long." you chuckled, pulling your laptop and your case with all your sd cards, looking for the one you needed and let your photos you took tonight upload. while you waited on that, you sat down next to calum. "tonight was a good show." you complimented him, patting his knee. "thanks." he smiled slightly, tugging at his beanie to pull it down a little. calum looked at you while you watched the tv, looking at your lips in particular. calum wanted to make a move, but all her other bus mates where still walking around getting themselves ready for bed. "what time do you normally goto bed after you edit?" he asked. you shrugged, sighing softly. "just depends on how many photos i took. sometimes i dont get, like, any sleep." you laughed softly, tucking your legs to your chest, your chin resting on your knee. "but it's worth it though. so i don't really mind." calum nodded, smiling a little. he didn't know that you stayed up super late, just so that him and the other guys could post their photos on instagram, and sometimes not even for an actual post but for stories. he definitely wasn't going to take that for granted anymore. "i feel you. sometimes i never sleep on tour. but like you said, it's all worth it." calum said softly, seeing another person head to their bunk. if he counts right, two more and they'd have some sort of privacy. you and calum continued to talk about photography and other things till the photos finished uploading. "give me a tutorial on photo editing." calum chuckled as you picked out your first photo from the concert, which was calum. "okay, well first, i always adjust the rgb, exposure, all that stuff first so..." you showed him on the laptop the controls, adjusting the photo to something that you liked. while you did that, calum saw another person goto the bunk, him mentally cheering in his head. "after i've done that, then i mess with grain, highlights, and the mood of the photo, all that jazz." you continue, calum turning back to you, watching as you edited. you messed with the photo for a while till you finally finished. "now its done, do you like it?" you smiled, showing it to calum. "i love it." he nodded, smiling back. blush crept on your cheeks so you looked away at the boy, saving the file before looking for another photo. "y/n?" calum asked quietly. you turned to look at the boy, his face really close from yours, causing your breathing to hitch a little. "yeah?" you asked back, your voice so soft. you saw his eyes flicker down to your lips before he grabbed your face and kissed you. your stomach fluttered, and your head spun, like you were floating. the kiss lingered for a few seconds till he pulled. the two of you looked at each other, giggling nervously. "did i ruin our friendship?" he asked. biting down on your lip, you shook your head, a smile wanting to burst out. "not at all."
