Ok so this is another of my unusual ones😁 I know it's a little weird, but its something I got in my head, and I just had to write it down because it was so sweet 😍 I hope you find it a fun little flight of fancy.

Arthur walked absentmindedly through the park, he didn't normally come down here, but the day had turned out to be so warm and bright that he had decided to take advantage of the good weather before it turned back into the usual grey Gotham day. Taking no notice of where he was going, he wandered deeper into the trees, trying to avoid the others that had had the same idea. He looked around, enjoying the sound of bird song and the warm breeze, and it wasn't until he turned and walked into a large elaborate iron gate that he realised how far he had gone.

Arthur looked up, rubbing his sore head as he stared at the gate and the surroundings. He couldn't remember ever being in this part of the park before, and he definitely would have remembered the huge metal gates with a large KEEP OUT! sign, that looked as though it had been there many years, if he had seen it.

He looked through the gate, the garden beyond was overgrown with vines, but looked more beautiful than any other part of the well cared for grounds; the flowers seemed more perfect, brighter, and the smell of the blooms that filled the air was quite intoxicating.

Arthur looked around sheepishly, making sure that no one else was watching; he knew he shouldn't enter, he knew he should obey the sign, but curiosity was getting the better of him, and he felt the need to explore the land beyond the gate.

Pulling down some of the vines that barred his entrance, Arthur managed to squeeze his way passed the metal bars of the gate and into the world beyond. As he stepped over the gnarled roots of ancient looking trees, and pushed his way through hanging tendrils and creepers, his eyes grew wide as he saw what they kept from prying eyes.

Before him was a perfect little garden, a deep blue pool was at its centre, surrounded by moss covered rocks and drooping narcissus; every flower bloomed, every tree grew strong and tall, as happy little bumblebees flew from one perfect blossom to another. The whole scene seemed to sparkle, as if under an enchantment, an enchantment that made Arthur want to explore further.

As he stepped foot into the enchanted glade, he couldn't help but hear the tiniest little cry he had ever heard; again Arthur's curiosity was piqued, how could anyone cry in such a beautiful place he thought as he followed the sounds of the teary sniffles.

As he made his way over a large oak log, Arthur rubbed his eyes, not wanting to believe what he was seeing, wondering whether the bump on the head he had received when he walked into the gate was making him hallucinate. There on the top of a large bright red toadstool sat the smallest woman he had ever seen; the pair of glass like wings that came from her back glistening in the sunlight as the little creature held on to her ankle.

Arthur couldn't help but stare, despite the tears that were falling down her cheeks, the tiny female was undoubtedly beautiful, with a head of the lightest pink hair, and a pair of piercing blue eyes; Arthur found himself incapable of looking away, incapable of going back, incapable of remaining hidden, as he found himself moving forward strangely wanting to comfort the little woman.

With a squeal, the little thing flew to hide behind the toadstool, her eyes widening in fear as she saw Arthur come towards her.

"Please miss, I mean no harm." Arthur said gently, trying to cajole the tiny creature out from her hiding spot.

"W-w-what are y-y-you doing in my garden?" The woman asked, peaking her head out slightly from behind the stalk of the fungi to look at the large man before her.

"My apologises, I didn't know that this was your garden; it's just that it looked so beautiful that I had to get closer." Arthur said, smiling as the little creature limped out cautiously from her cover.

"I have never seen a giant before." She said, fluttering up and hovering just in front Arthur's face.

"I think you must be the biggest man I have ever seen." She told him; Arthur unable to hold back the chuckle that made the fluttering creature flit back to her hiding spot.

"Forgive me, it is just that I've been called many things before, but I've never been called a giant." Arthur said, taking a seat next to the toadstool as the little lady looked at him wide eyed.

"In my world I am a clown." Arthur told her, smiling as she fluttered up, flying around and around him, looking him up and down.

"I don't know what a clown is; but you are in my world, and to me you are most certainly a giant. I mean you can't be fairy folk, you are faaaaaaar too big, so you must be a giant." She said happily, as she came to rest on the floor with a bump, landing unceremoniously on her bottom, as she winced, gripping on to her obviously sore ankle.

"How did you hurt yourself?" Arthur asked, as the little thing once again tried to get to her feet.

"I was playing with the dragonflies, but they can be a little overzealous sometimes, and one of them bumped me while I was flying, and I fell to the floor." She told Arthur, who had to smile at the idea of her playing with overzealous dragonflies; at this point he was definitely sure that he had fallen down a rabbit hole and this was his version of Wonderland, positive that at any moment the mad hatter was going to appear and set up a tea party; but still he couldn't help but smile.

"Do you have someone to take care of you?" He asked, as the little creature limped around, trying to pretend that she was fine.

"No, there is only me, there always has only been me. But I'm big enough and strong enough to look after myself." The woman protested, trying to stand up tall and straight, but failing miserably as her sore ankle had weight put on it.

Arthur chuckled to himself, despite her size she was most definitely stubborn, and he was more than sure that she could take care of herself; but for some reason he felt as though he had to offer his assistance.

"Even though I am sure that you are more than capable of caring for yourself, why don't you come and stay with me until you are better? Once you have recovered, I will bring you back to the garden." Arthur said, hoping that she would say yes.

"You mean go beyond the garden, go to the land of the giants? But I have never been out beyond the great gate; won't they eat me if I go out there?" She asked, leaning against Arthur's leg for support.

"Well, I haven't eaten you, and I'm very sure that none of the other giants will either." He chuckled, holding out his hand for the little lady to stand on.

"But where are my manners? My name is Arthur, and what might your name be?" He asked, nodding respectfully to the small woman.

"My name is (Y/n), (Y/n) the Imp." (Y/n) said happily, as she tried to curtsy.

Arthur couldn't help but chuckle, smiling apologetically at the confused (Y/n).

"I.... I'm sorry (Y/n), it's....... it's just that I have never met an imp before, and I can't believe that I am now." Arthur told her, as he rubbed the bump on his head, wondering when he was going to wake up.

"You mean that you haven't been lucky enough to meet an imp before, but you certainly are now." She told him, sitting down with a bump in the palm of his hand.

"Well.... if you are real, come and stay with me until you are well, and I will show you the world of the giants." Arthur said, watching as the little creature mussed for a moment.

"You promise that you will watch over me, and make sure that none of the other giants eat me, and you'll bring me back when I'm better?" (Y/n) asked, as Arthur raised his hand up so that he could look into her tiny eyes.

"You have my word that I will protect you from all imp eating giants." Arthur said happily, as he placed the little lady up on his shoulder; smiling as she took hold of a lock of his hair so that she did not fall.

"Then Arthur the Giant, show me beyond the garden." (Y/n) announced dramatically, as he made his way back towards the gate.
