"Well good morning beautiful lady, whom might you be looking for?" Randall hummed creepily as he looked at the beautiful woman that had just climbed the stairs towards Ha-Ha's.

"Oh, you definitely have to be Randall." (Y/n) said, crossing her arms as she looked at the big man in front of her.

"If, its any of your business, which its not, I'm actually looking for Arthur." (Y/n) told him, scowling at the man as he began to chuckle.

"And what would such a beauteous creature want with a freak like Arthur." Randall asked, mimicking her stance as he stood in her way.

"What the hell did you just call Arthur?" (Y/n) said angrily, as she squared up to the man in front of her.

"(Y/n)?" A voice called out, causing both her and Randall to look behind him, their eyes falling on the little man that was making his way over.

"You're (Y/n), right?" Gary asked, offering (Y/n) his hand as she pushed passed Randall.

"Er, yeah, hi, you must be Gary, Arthur has told me all about you, you wouldn't know where he is would you?" (Y/n) asked, smiling as the little man nodded his head.

"Yeah of course, let me take you to him." Gary said, turning on his heels as he led her towards the locker room.

"Well, good morning Carnival, how's my favourite clown today?" (Y/n) asked, making Arthur jump as she sneaked up behind him and placed her chin on his shoulder as he was mindlessly brushing on his white face paint, his thoughts completely filled with her.

It had been months since that first meeting, months since he had been taken into a small book store, months since Arthur's world had got exponentially better, and now the reason for all the new wonderful things that were happening in his life was looking over his shoulder, smiling broadly at him as he stared wide eyed back at her.

Ever since the two had met on that fateful Indian Summer morning, since they had told each other about their lives, (Y/n) and Arthur had become almost inseparable with Arthur spending every chance he got at the cosy little book store, helping out as much as he could with whatever he could. He had found that instead of going home of an evening, he would make his way to join (Y/n) in her apartment, her smile always brightening even his darkest day; they would spend most of the evening talking, laughing or just sitting next to one another on her big comfortable sofa watching any silly thing that was available on the TV, as (Y/n) would lay her head on his shoulder often drifting off to sleep as he would carefully slip his arm around her.

The change she had caused in Arthur had been noticed instantly by Gary the next day that Arthur had gone into work after (Y/n) had dragged him across the street; Arthur had indeed been called into the office to explain to Hoyt what had happened, but instead of Arthur just taking his bosses abuse quietly like he normally would, he had bitten back, leaving behind a dumbstruck Hoyt as he left the office. From that moment Gary knew that something had changed in his friend's life, and he knew that that thing could only be a woman. He hadn't meant to be nosey, but to see a new streak of confidence in Arthur had intrigued him, and he couldn't help but enquire as to why, and who, had caused the change; it was then that Arthur had told Gary all about (Y/n) and what she had done for him, about her kindness and how she had stood up for him, how they had talked and how they had become friends within just a short time, and how he hoped that with time it could become more, Gary smiling as he watched a new spark grow in Arthur's eyes.

"What are you doing here?" Arthur asked, turning around so that he could give (Y/n) a hug, choosing to ignore the smirking looks of the others.

"What kind of way is that to say hello? Anyone would think that you weren't please to see me." (Y/n) chuckled, as Arthur began to blush slightly.

"Y-y-you know I didn't mean it like that, I just wasn't expecting to see you here that's all." Arthur tried to explain, sighing happily as (Y/n) brushed his stray hairs behind his ears.

"I know sweetie, I was just joking. To be honest as much as I wanted to see you, I've actually come to talk to your boss; I have a job for you, well you and a few others." (Y/n) explained to a confused looking Arthur as he sat her down on the bench in front of his locker.

"A job? What kind of job." Arthur asked, as he took a seat next to her and took her hands; he had only seen (Y/n) the night before and she hadn't mentioned anything to him then about a job, so he couldn't help but wonder what had occurred between then and now.

"Ok, you know that I got that first edition of Dracula that was signed by Bram Stoker, right? Well, I have just managed to procure a first edition of Frankenstein, and really good editions of The Picture of Dorian Grey, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, as well as a great copy of the Invisible Man, so I had this brainwave; why don't I come down here and hire some of you guys to dress up as these amazing horror characters, its sure to pull in some customers from off the street and I know the kids in the neighbourhood would love to have real live versions of these monsters walking around." (Y/n) told him happily as she seemed to bounce slightly with excitement, her whole childish exuberance causing Arthur to laugh.

"So, do you want me to be Frankenstein?" Arthur asked sheepishly, trying to avoid the slightly annoyed look that (Y/n) was giving him for his suggestion, as well as the slap to his arm.

"No Arthur, I think that Randall would be more suited be being the monster, all he needs is a couple of bolts in his neck and he'd be perfect, he doesn't even need makeup." (Y/n) chuckled, as she squeezed Arthur's hand, his eyes slowly coming up to meet hers.

"I was hoping that I could get Gary to be a really fun Jekyll and Hyde, then I'll just need a Dorian Grey, an Invisible Man and Count Dracula." (Y/n) told him, Arthur tweaking an eyebrow as he wondered who she would want him to be.

"So.......who do you want me to be?" Arthur asked, slightly concerned that (Y/n) would want him to wrap his face in bandages like the invisible man.

"Well, I did think about you being the suave, debonair, and handsome Dorian Grey; but then I realised that who else would I want to be my favourite horror character rather than you, so I would like you to be the mysterious, charming, sophisticated, and urbane Count Dracula, possibly the greatest horror character ever." (Y/n) told a slightly shocked Arthur, who didn't know whether he could be any of those things.

"Oh, I better go, I have an appointment with Hoyt to make sure we can do this." (Y/n) said, looking down at her watch.

"You are still coming around tonight aren't you? Miss Mary is cooking for a family get together tonight, and she has already insisted that we have to be there, she says that she has a big plate of smothered pork chops with sweet potato fries and collard greens with your name on it; I swear that she is going to make you put weight on, even if it kills her." (Y/n) giggled as she heard the sound of Arthur's stomach already protesting.

"Anyway, I'll see you later, Count." (Y/n) said, as Arthur took her to the door, blushing slightly as she kissed him softly on the corner of his mouth, before she turned to make her way to find Hoyt.

"Count Dracula, hmmmmmm?" Gary chuckled, as Arthur came back to sit down.

"You do know that all the girls love a vampire don't you, especially that girl by the looks of it." Gary said knowingly as Arthur seemed to be looking off into the distance, drifting off into his own thoughts.

"So, its obvious that she likes you." Gary stated, smiling when Arthur looked at him slightly shocked.

"Well, she....... (Y/n)'s my friend, of course she likes me." Arthur mumbled, turning his eyes to the floor.

"Oh, please Arthur, the way that woman is around you is far beyond just being a friend; and I know a friendly peck when I see one, and that kiss was not a friendly peck, that was a "I want you to kiss me back, because I like you as more than a friend" kind of kiss." Gary explained, as Arthur head spun to look at the door through which (Y/n) had just left.

"You.....you really think so?" Arthur asked, smiling slightly at the thought that (Y/n) and he could be more than just friends.

"I don't think, I know. And I think that the mysterious, charming, sophisticated, and urbane Count Dracula might just have to make his move." Gary sniggered, as he patted Arthur on the arm, leaving his slightly bewildered friend to consider his next move.
