Elena, Ariana, and Jenna were sitting on the ground. Jenna was clutching her head.

"Oh, my head. What's wrong with me?"

"Do you remember what happened?" Ariana asked her. Jenna looked at her.

"You called me. Elena was with you. You were both so scared. Oh, ah, I should have realized that it wasn't either of you. The second I walked out of the house, someone grabbed me. A vampire."

"Klaus. It was Klaus." Ariana whispered.

"He made me drink his blood. And I don't... I don't remember anything after that." Jenna continued. "Where are we? What happened?"

"We're at the quarry. He brought us here." Elena said.

"Why don't I remember anything?" Jenna frowned in confusion.

"Jenna, do you remember... when we told you how someone becomes a vampire?" Elena wondered cautiously.

"Yeah, if you die with vampire blood in your system, it's... oh, god. He killed me." Jenna realised.

"Jenna, listen to me. Listen to me... everything's going to be okay. I'm going to get you and Ana out of here." Elena whispered.

"What? No!" Ariana protested. "Have you learnt nothing, E?! We're in this together!" But Elena avoided eye contact with her sister and stayed silent.

"I'm a vampire?" Jenna mumbled.

"And I bet you're hungry." Greta approached them; Jenna, Ariana, and Elena looked up at her from the ground.

Elena saw a sharp rock nearby and rushed to grab it, but, with a wave of her hand, Greta set Elena flying backwards. Elena landed painfully in the dirt. Greta waved her hand again, creating a circle of fire each around both Ariana and Elena, separating them. Elena stood up and rushed towards the flames, trying desperately to reach Ariana, but found that she couldn't escape.

"Don't bother trying to get through. I spelled the circles. You're both trapped. No matter what you do." Greta smirked.

"Greta, please, just... just let Jenna go!" Ariana begged. Greta sliced her wrist open with the sharp rock. Blood dripped from her wound. Jenna looked at it, hungrily. Greta lowered her wrist towards Jenna.

"Drink it."

"Jenna, don't!" Elena yelled.

"Let her go. Hey!" Ariana screamed at Greta, but it was no use. Jenna continued to stare at Greta's bloody wrist and finally sunk her teeth in. "No! No."

Jenna closed her eyes as the warm blood entered her mouth. After a few moments, Greta pulled her wrist out of Jenna's grip and Jenna fell to the ground. Greta stood up.

"Jenna! It's going to be okay." Ariana reassured. Greta flicked her wrist and another circle of fire surrounded Jenna. Jenna retreated from the flames, looking terrified.

Jenna silently said 'no' as the dark veins of hunger creeped towards her eyes.

"How are you feeling?" Ariana asked Jenna.

"I feel like myself... only not. Everything is brighter. The fire's hotter. Part of me is terrified, but there's another part of me that doesn't want to feel anything." Jenna stated.

"Vampires can turn off the part that's human. That's the part that hurts." Ariana informed her.

"I'm gonna die, aren't I?" Jenna whispered.
