Ariana went into Jenna's bedroom, looked around, and left. Damon was there.

"That'll get easier. But you knew that."

"What do you want?" Ariana sighed tiredly.

"I want to apologize." Damon admitted.

"Damon--"

"Please. Ana, feeding you my blood, I was wrong."

"Yes, you were." Ariana agreed. Damon continued.

"And I know I don't deserve your forgiveness, but... I need it."

"And I need some time, maybe a lot of time." Ariana muttered.

"Sure." Damon nodded. "Of course, take all the time you need."

At the town square, there was a banner reading 'Movie in the Square Presents Gone With the Wind'. Elena, Ariana, and Jeremy were walking through the square.

"You brought me to see a girl movie." Jeremy chuckled.

"We had to get out of the house, Jer. This is our three-hour distraction from reality." Elena said.

"Is that what we're doing? Pretending like our lives aren't screwed?" Jeremy questioned.

"We need to do this, okay? Breathe, eat, sleep, wake up, and do it all over again, until one day, it's just not as hard anymore." Ariana sighed. They unfolded a blanket and put it on the ground. Ariana and Elena knelt on it. Caroline arrived with a couple of baskets and placed them in the middle of the blanket.

"Hey! There you guys are. Who's hungry?"

"Are we really doing this?" Jeremy muttered.

"Yes, we are really doing this. We are going to take a page from Scarlett. We made it through the war." Caroline knelt down on the blanket as she spoke. "I know you guys went through hell, and my mum knows I am a vampire, so basically it's like Atlanta has burned. And yet, in spite of everything, we persevere."

"All right." Jeremy sat down with his two sisters and Caroline. "What are we eating?"

"Something good." Caroline grinned.

Stefan and Nathan joined Jeremy, Ariana, Caroline, and Elena.

"Hey." Stefan greeted.

"Hey, guys! Look who couldn't resist an epic romance." Ariana smiled.

"Will you come take a walk with me?" Nathan asked Ariana as Stefan sat down in between her and Elena. Ariana nodded and stood up, walking away with her boyfriend.

"I'm breaking the rules, you know. Movie night's supposed to be a distraction. Tomorrow, we can return to our regularly scheduled drama." Ariana said.

"I know. I wish this could wait, but it can't. Listen, um, the other night when Damon was helping Tyler, something happened. Tyler was starting to transform, and Damon was bitten." Nathan informed. Ariana's eyes widened in surprise.

"What? Is it... is he gonna..."

"Yeah."

"Oh, my God. And he came to the house this morning and... and tried to apologize..." Ariana panicked. She should have forgiven him! "I feel awful!"

"He told me not to tell you, but I figured if you wanted to talk to him, I... I wouldn't wait." Nathan murmured. "It's not over. There might be a cure, but I have to find Klaus to get it."
