After the wedding and all of the drama had calmed down, Skylar had returned home. She stood in front of the mirror and sighed, pulling it the hair bands and clips in her hair, letting the curls fall free down her back. She then pulled her earrings out, placing them on her vanity. Before Skylar could take her necklace off, she heard all three Salvatore brothers, as well as Elena, enter the house, talking between eachother rather loudly. Skylar quickly rushed down to greet them.

"Hey, guys."

"Hey, sweetie." Stefan rushed out a greeting quickly before getting back to the matter at hand. "There's got to be something we're missing!"

"Nope. The Pierce twins won. They played the long game and finally beat us." Damon sighed.

"Um, guys...?" Nathan grabbed everyone's attention. He was staring at something in shock. "Ana's coffin! It's empty..."

"What?!" Elena turned towards the coffin to see that Nathan was true: the coffin was open and empty.

"Earlier, Bonnie's heart stopped." Stefan informed, and everyone turned towards him. "She said she saw Elena."

"Damon?" A different but familiar voice spoke up. Everyone turned towards the coffin again to see none other than Ariana stood in front of the coffin.

"Ana..." Damon whispered in shock.

"A!" Elena smiled at the sight of her sister. "A, oh my god! You're actually here!"

"Hey, E. I've missed you!" Ariana smiled widely at her sister before her smile faded and she frowned in confusion. "What's going on? Is Bonnie...?"

"Bonnie's okay. You're both okay." Damon replied softly.

"I'm awake?" Ariana laughed with relief.

"You're awake!" Damon hurried up to Ariana to hug her, lifting her up and spinning her around, feeling amazing to finally have her back in his arms.

"I take it that that's the former comatose twin of yours." Skylar muttered to Elena, who nodded in response. They both looked back to where Damon and Ariana were still embracing happily, until Damon's eyes widened in realisation and he dropped Ariana, making her stumble slightly.

"No. No, no, no, no!"

"Rude." Ariana rolled her eyes in a so-not-Ariana way.

"You got to be kidding me." Stefan chimed in.

"Madeline." Nathan realised, revealing that it wasn't Ariana at all... it was just Madeline.

"Hello, brothers." Madeline giggled. The sound of heels against the floor was heard as Katherine herself turned the corner.

"Seriously, Mads? You weren't convincing at all!"

"Well, excuse me for not being all cheery like the optimistic Ariana. We're total opposites!" Madeline defended herself. Elena's eyes stayed locked on Katherine, glaring at her.

"Katherine."

"Hello, Elena."

"This whole thing is giving me an aneurysm." Skylar exaggerated, rubbing her head. "I need a drink."

"Where's Ariana?" Damon asked the Pierce twins while Skylar headed over to make herself a drink.

"Dead. A spiritual coma, if we're getting technical." Katherine said.
