Skylar and Bonnie were spread across the couches in the living room of the Salvatore house while Stefan leaned over Caroline and Damon stood by the drinks table, as they all spoke through the speaker phone to Alaric, Matt, and Dorian.

Da: "All right, professor, how do we get rid of the queens of hell?"

A: "Are you sure Madeline and Katherine are in our world?"

Sk: "When Cade crossed planes after the eleventh ring of the bell, other souls could step through, too. The same way this Kai guy did."

B: "Yeah. Katherine would've jumped at that chance, and of course she dragged innocent Madeline along with her."

C: "Then why haven't we seen her yet? I thought by now she'd be strutting around, making demands. Or trying to get us all killed."

St: "Maybe she's biding her time."

Da: "Or putting her own plan together.

Do: "Either way, you're gonna need a new weapon."

C: "So, what have you guys come up with?"

Do: "Cade was killed with a dagger that was made from his bones. It was fused into glass by a white, hot, flame. First things first, though, I don't suppose you know where Madeline and Katherine's bones are."

Da: "Who'd ever thought they'd have done us a favour? We have every last one of both Madeline's and Katherine's bones in the cave underneath the old church, left over from a traveler barbecue they had when they tried to possess Elena and Ana."

Sk: "But... fusing the bones into glass? How do we make that kind of weapon?"

M: "Would putting the bone in a metal dagger do the trick? My parents are in town, I could ask my dad for help."

C: "'Parents' plural?"

M: "Unexpected family reunion, so... I've got two nightmares to deal with."

Da: "Gossip later, townies. Stefan and I will go on 'bone-fetching' duty."

A: "Dorian and I will research an alternative to fight them."

Do: "See, if the Pierce twins are back, that means hell still exists. We need to figure out a way to break their link to hell."

Sk: "These psychic dimensions are tied to emotional trauma. Cade created his when he was burned at the stake, I created mine... when I saw Enzo get murdered. Just saying, maybe there's a way to destroy the dimension itself. Destroying hell destroys her."

C: "Great. You guys are on hail-mary miracle duty, so how do the rest of us get Madeline and Katherine to show themselves?"

Da: "Easy. Katherine's obsessed with Stefan and Madeline is obsessed with me... well, who wouldn't be?"

Sk: "Just get to the point, uncle Damon."

Da: If Katherine sees anyone making Stefan happy, she won't be able to control herself. So, she'll have no choice but to come out of hiding, bringing Madeline along with her."

C: "Your point?"

Da: "My point is, we shove Stefan's happiness in Katherine's face, and Madeline is always staying by her sister's side no matter what, like a lost puppy."

B: "Said the one who was in love with her while still being with Ana."

Da: "Irrelevant! Those feelings are gone. Anyway... we throw the one party Madeline and Katherine would never miss. Who doesn't love a wedding?"
