Ariana's POV

I was stood by my locker with Nathan, chatting about random stuff. Talking about things like Damon, Madeline, Katherine, Isobel, us, and other stuff.

"I have to get to class." I told Nathan, smiling up at him.

"You can be a little late, can't you?" Nathan responded. I smiled wider and giggled quietly.

"Unfortunately not. I'll see you later." I said. Nathan leant down and kissed my lips. I kissed back and then after two seconds, we pulled away and I waved goodbye before walking off. As I turned a corner, I saw Elena saying goodbye to Stefan. She turned and saw me, she walked up to me. "Hey, E."

"Hey, A!"

We headed to class together as we had the same class.

---

I was walking through the corridors with Nathan, laughing about things, when Elena ran up to us.

"Hey guys. Um, can I ask you something?" Elena asked. We nodded. "Could you both please come with us tonight? Stefan and I have been invited to have a double date with Matt and Caroline! Can you guys come and make it a triple date?"

"Why?" I questioned.

"Well, because... I don't want things to be awkward! You know, Matt being my ex... Please, A! It could be fun. Please!" Elena begged. I turned to Nathan, silently asking what he wanted to do.

"You and Nathan really should come, Ari." Caroline walked up to us.

"Oh, hey C. Um..." I trailed off.

"Yeah, we'll go." Nathan answered for me.

"Great! We'll all meet at the Grill tonight then. See ya!" Caroline exclaimed, then strolled off. Elena waved goodbye to us and also walked off to probably find Stefan. I gave Nathan a look.

"What? It could be fun." Nathan tried to convince. I playfully rolled my eyes, chuckled and then smiled at him as we walked down the corridor together.

---

I was reading on my bed. Elena had already left to the Grill with Stefan, who said that Nathan would be here very soon. And at that thought, the doorbell rang. I put down my book and stood up. I walked downstairs and came face to face with Nathan. He smiled and held out some flowers that he had in his hand towards me.

"Thank you!" I smiled at him and took the flowers. "You can come in for a moment." Nathan walked inside and I walked into the kitchen. I grabbed a vase, filled it with water, put the flowers in it and then put the flowers on the window sill.

I turned around and saw Nathan leaning against the door frame. I smiled and walked up to him. He smiled too and pressed his lips to mine. He took my hand in his and we walked out.

Nathan grabbed his car keys and opened the door for me. I smiled at him again and got in. Nathan got in the drivers seat.

The whole way to the Grill, Nathan and I talked about random stuff, but mainly about the awkward date we were about to attend with Caroline, Matt, Elena and Stefan. It was only awkward because Matt's ex (Elena) was Matt's girlfriend's (Caroline's) friend, I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen!

---

"So, Matt, do you enjoy working here?" I asked as the six of us sat at a table in the Grill. Matt looked over at me as I sat in between Nathan and Caroline, opposite Elena.
