Ariana's POV

In the middle of the night, I gasped awake when I heard a loud bang. The storm... There was a loud storm outside.

I sighed and got out of bed. I locked my windows before leaving my room. I knocked on Elena's door, then I entered her room and she was sitting on her bed.

"Hey. Can you please help me make sure all of the windows and doors are locked? The storm's getting worse." I said.

"Oh, yeah, sure." Elena replied, standing up from her bed.

"Thanks, I'll go check on Jeremy. The storm probably woke him up too." I then left the room and knocked on Jeremy's door. After I heard a 'come in', I opened the door and saw Jeremy sitting on the end of his bed. "Hey Jer."

"Hey, what's up?" Jeremy questioned.

"Can you please help Elena and I make sure all the doors and windows are locked?" I asked. Jeremy looked over at his open window, then looked back at me.

"Yeah, sure thing." Jeremy replied. I smiled at him before leaving the room.

It was pretty early the next morning. Elena and I were at the Salvatore house with the three Salvatore brothers.

"I think we should just go to Pearl's, barge into the house, and rip the head off of the guy that attacked us last night!" Damon exclaimed.

Apparently a boy and girl that were in the tomb broke into their house and attacked the three of them. They were vampires, but they got into the house easily as no living person lived there.

Damon, Nathan and Stefan managed to kill the girl attacker, but the boy ran before the brothers could kill him.

"Yeah? And what would we do after that? The rest of the tomb vampires that live there will tear us apart." Stefan pointed out.

"Pearl agreed to help get Madeline and Katherine back." Damon stated.

"Yeah, that's what she says..." Elena whispered. "But, of course you made a deal with her just to get what you want, not caring who you hurt in the process." She glared at Damon.

"How long are you both going to hate me for turning your birth mother into a vampire?" Damon mumbled.

"I know that Ari could never hate you. I don't even hate you either, Damon. We've obviously accepted the fact that you're a massive psychopath!" Elena said.

"Okay, let's just drop it, yeah? So... We're gonna find a way to deal with the tomb vampires, right?" Nathan spoke up.

Damon just simply shrugged and walked out of the room.

"Look, I'm sorry. Just... Damon, he... He really annoys me!" Elena stated.

"I know, it's fine. He annoys everybody." Stefan replied.

Not me. Well, sometimes not me.

Stefan's POV

I ran through the woods to hunt, needing some more strength. It was pouring down with rain, so I had my hood pulled up. When I heard a noise, I stopped running and span around. Two men stood there. They had their hoods pulled up so I couldn't see their faces, but I knew that they were vampires.

I turned around to run away from them, when another man appeared in front of me and stabbed me in the stomach. I gasped and then groaned in pain.

I saw the face of the man who stabbed me. It was Frederick, a man from the tomb and the guy who attacked my brothers and I in our house.
