Damon and Ariana lived long, human lives together. Their love never faded for eachother, and each day was like their honeymoon.

Speaking of, they got married three years after Ariana woke up, and then not long after that, they found out that they were expecting a baby. It turned out to be a baby girl, which they named Rose Jenna Salvatore after Rose, the vampire who always held a special place in Damon's heart, and Jenna, obviously after Ariana's aunt Jenna.

Ariana dreamed of a big family, and Damon actually agreed with her. At first, he thought that one child was enough. But after seeing Rose's face as a newborn... he knew that he wanted more of them. So, Damon and Ariana tried for more kids.

They had three more. Two more girls and one boy. Their second born after Rose was named Eleanor Rebekah Salvatore. 'Eleanor' since it sounded similar to Elena's name, and Rebekah since she and Ariana were still really close friends and always would be.

Their next child was another girl. Damon chose the first name and Ariana chose the middle name: Sarah Caroline Salvatore. Sarah, since Damon blamed himself for Sarah's death even if it was Sybil, and Caroline because... well, that's obvious.

The final baby was a baby boy... he and Damon were the closest, considering that they were the only boys in a houseful of girls. Damon had said that Ariana could choose the name for their baby boy... so she chose names of former Gilberts. Her family. So, welcome baby boy Salvatore: Johnathon Grayson Salvatore.

Damon stayed as a stay-at-home dad to look after their four kids. For a while, Ariana worked on her writing career and published two new books. After that though, she dropped all of it when Caroline offered her to work as the new Guidance Counsellor at the Salvatore School, and Ariana jumped at the opportunity to work there.

Bonnie surprisingly ran into Jeremy a few years later and they got back together. They got married, and even had a daughter together, who developed the powerful Bennett magic and was even showing signs of magic at young ages. Her name was Lucy Sheila Bennett-Gilbert, since Bonnie wanted to keep the name 'Bennett' in the bloodline for centuries to come.

Once Lucy was old enough, Jeremy and Bonnie took her with them to travel the world and see everything.

Elena and Nathan got married almost immediately after Ariana woke up, having waited long enough, and they were extremely thrilled to have Ariana as their maid of honour.

Surprising the newly wedded couple, Elena found out not that long after that, during their honeymoon, she had fallen pregnant.

Later, they bithed a baby girl. Girls did more commonly run in the Gilbert family. Nathan and Elena named their baby girl Stefanie Bonnie Salvatore, after Stefan and Bonnie. Nathan had insisted that they called her Stefanie Skylar Salvatore, but Elena had multiple reasons to not want that name, starting with the fact that Lizzie's middle name was Skylar.
