Ariana had just finished checking on Alaric after promising to change the locks in their house as he was being kept under observation, even though his ring fully healed him.

As she made her way to her car, she was hurrying to grab her keys from her purse when a voice made her freeze.

"Ari!"

Spinning around, Ariana came face to face with her favourite Mikaelson.

"Oh my god! Bekah!"

Like the cliché things that they did in movies, the two girls ran up to eachother at human speed and engulfed one another in a tight hug.

"I missed you so much!"

"I missed you, too, Ari!"

When they pulled away from eachother, Rebekah's happy and smiling face turned dark and serious.

"Now... where the hell is Elena and Nathan?"

"Bekah, please don't hurt them." Ariana pleaded. "They just wasn't sure if you were 100% in on our plan. They... they thought you'd choose Nik over them."

"And you? What was your opinion on them literally stabbing me in the back with my brother's bloody dagger?" Rebekah snapped. Ariana frowned.

"I was team Mikaelson, all the way! From the second that I saw that they'd daggered you. I hated them for it but they wouldn't let me take the dagger out. I'm so sorry."

"It's okay." Rebekah offered Ariana a small smile. "I heard about what you and Nik have been up to, by the way. You and him being on nickname basis. The necklace he gave you."

"Yeah, the necklace was gorgeous and a really sweet but expensive thing for him to do?" Ariana grinned, but it quickly faded. "Wait, how much was it? Oh my god, it had to have been so expensive, do you think that I should return it?"

"We're vampires, darling, money really is not a concern." Rebekah chuckled, shooting Ariana a wider smile. "And... I was hoping that you'd wear Nik's necklace sometime soon. There's an important event tomorrow."

"What event?" Ariana wondered curiously. "I haven't heard anything about an event."

"The whole town is expected to attend, and my family and I are hosting it ourselves. Please come!" Rebekah exclaimed. "I assure you, you will have an amazing time. Don't doubt me, Miss Gilbert."

"I never would, Miss Mikaelson." Ariana giggled. "But fine, I'll be there."

"Great!" Rebekah squealed. "Details of the event will be mailed to you, printed on a beautiful invitation that I created myself. But I should really get back before my brothers begin to worry."

"Yeah, of course." Ariana nodded. Rebekah began to walk off, but Ariana stopped her and pulled her into one last hug. "Welcome back, Bekah." She could feel Rebekah laughing as she returned the hug.

"It's good to be back, Ari."

The next morning, Ariana woke up and headed downstairs to make herself a fresh cup of coffee, when her phone rang.

Damon :)
Just found out it was the original witch herself sealed in that last coffin. Elijah was kind enough to inform us.

Ariana :)
The Mikaelsons' mother??

Damon :)
Yep.
