Flashback

Ariana's POV (Finally, once again, a person's perspective is back😱😱)

My radio alarm clock went off at 6:45 in the morning, waking me up. I groaned tiredly, just wanting to go back to sleep. However, I was feeling good today.

I hadn't felt so good in a long time. But, what would I have to be sad over, anyway?

I had the world's best parents, a protective little brother, my awesome twin, my aunt Jenna who always came round to visit, I had my bubbly best friend, Caroline, I was voted second best cheerleader on our team only last week (with Caroline being captain got voted first, obviously). I even had the popularity!

My young, sixteen-year-old high school life was going amazingly. Plus, Elena and I were turning seventeen next month! We'd be able to drive and everything!

Smiling widely, I turned up the music on my alarm and got out of bed. Pulling my hair up into a ponytail, I danced to the music cheerfully in front of the mirror.

I then grabbed my colourful pom poms and threw them onto the window seat where my cheerleader uniform was laid out. I loved being a cheerleader.

Caroline had first got me the position as one of the higher cheerleaders when we first moved up into high school. Her bubbly and outgoing personality had immediately made her popular, and me being her best friend since we were in diapers, she had dragged me into the spotlight, too.

So, now with both me and Caroline as two of the most popular girls in the school, along with my twin sister, Elena, and my other best friend, Bonnie, I was so glad that my bond with all three of them still remained strong.

After changing into my uniform, I walked downstairs and into the kitchen where Aunt Jenna was making coffee. My twin sister, Elena, was sat on a bar stool with a cup of coffee already in her hands.

"Hey, A." Elena smiled, glancing at me.

"Hey to you, too, E." I smiled back, kissing my sister's head as I sat down beside her.

"Coffee?" Jenna offered. I grinned and nodded, so my aunt Jenna placed a fresh cup of coffee in front of me. I thanked her.

"Jeremy locked himself in the bathroom again. Does he think we don't know what he's doing in there?" I chuckled.

"He's fourteen. They don't think." Jenna replied, smiling.

And then, my beautiful mother strolled into the kitchen.

"Mom!" I squealed, rushing towards her and hugging her tightly.

"Ah, there's my little buttercup!" Mom hugged me back, just as tight. "Had a good sleep?"

"The best." I giggled as we pulled away from eachother.

"I'm glad." Mom kissed my cheek, smiled at me, before heading over to Elena. "And how is my other little buttercup doing this morning?"

"Morning, mom. I'm good." Elena smiled at mom, who smiled back and kissed Elena on the cheek.

I smiled widely, wishing for my life never to change.

No one's POV

Ariana woke up in a hospital bed at night and looked around. She sighed, letting her head fall back against the uncomfy pillows, before her tiredness consumed her and darkness overtook her as she drifted off to sleep.
