No one's POV

It was daytime. Damon held up a cinder block to Ariana, while Nathan did the same to Elena. Both twins punched them, causing them to break.

"And?" Damon spoke.

"That did nothing." Ariana muttered. "What about you, E?"

"Nope. Didn't do anything for me." Elena shrugged. "I haven't recently turned my humanity off and I still feel hate towards this Pierce twins, stronger than I ever have before."

Damon and Nathan picked up two more cinder blocks.

"Again." Damon announced. While Elena was quick to punch right through it again, breaking it, Ariana took a little longer as she backed up and kicked the block, using her vamp-speed, breaking it cleanly.

"Good. Now, focus on letting it go." Nathan piped up.

"Or we could skip the sublimating part, and you can tell us where they are so that we can rip their heads off." Ariana growled.

"We don't know where Katherine and Madeline are and, even if we did, I wouldn't tell you." Nathan sighed.

"Stefan was the one who told Ariana to channel all of her emotions into one single feeling." Elena pointed out. "I just so happen to share a love for the feeling that she channelled."

"You don't think we can kill Katherine and Madeline?" Ariana asked the two brothers.

"I don't think you two really want to." Nathan shot back.

"Maybe you're right. Maybe we just want to feel the warmth of their chest cavities as we rip out their hearts and watch their faces as they realize we took them from them." Elena then turned to Ariana. "Let's mix it up. You know, trade doppelgängers? I'll go for Madeline, you go for Katherine?"

"Sounds like a plan." Ariana chuckled, before turning to the brothers again. "We just want to kill them. It's that simple. I'm gonna go shower." She walked off, leaving Elena, Nathan, and Damon behind.

Outside of the Grill, Caroline and Ariana were sitting at a table, working on their graduation letters.

"Stamp, please." Caroline spoke. Ariana tore off a stamp and handed it to Caroline. "Thank you."

"You don't have to pretend to be nice to me, Caroline. I know this is just a ploy to keep me distracted." Ariana sighed heavily. Caroline looked at Ariana's stack of graduation letters.

"You're done? I'm only on my second batch..."

"I have one for some family friends in Denver, one for Nik, one for Elijah, and one for Damon." Ariana held up four letters. "Other than that, no one cares that Elena and I are graduating and, to be honest, neither do I."

"I know that's how you feel now, but once you get through this hating Katherine and Madeline phase--"

"Wait..." Ariana cut Caroline off. "Do you know where Katherine and Madeline are?"

"No." Caroline replied. "Why would I know where they are?"

"Yeah, but, C, if you did, you would tell me, right?" Ariana smiled, hopeful.

"Ari, you're obsessing." Caroline frowned. Ariana grabbed her hand with ferocity.

"Caroline, listen to me, if you know where Katherine and Madeline are, then you have to tell me!"

Caroline pulled her hand out of Ariana's.

"I don't, Ariana! Chill."
