Back at the Salvatore Boarding House, Mary Louise, Skylar, and Nora were all in their pajamas and robes and were making breakfast with Julian in the kitchen. As Skylar danced around the kitchen happily to the music of the stereo, Nora was in the middle of making chocolate chip pancakes, which were creating so much smoke that Mary Louise started to cough. Julian laughed and grabbed a towel to use to fan the smoke away from them.

"That's it. That's it! Nora is off pancake duty." Julian playfully whipped Nora with the towel.

"Me?" Nora giggled loudly, drinking a mimosa. "You're the one who wanted the chocolate chips to melt!"

"Melt! Not burn the house down!" Skylar teased, laughing joyfully as she temporarily stopped dancing to walk over to Nora and give her a kiss on the cheek from behind, which caused Nora to giggle again. Smiling lovingly at her girlfriend one last time, Skylar went back to dancing around the kitchen.

Beau walked past them and grabbed a bit of food, which he ate as he chuckled silently. Julian popped a couple chocolate chips into his mouth as he helped Nora with the pancakes.

Just then, a bewildered-looking Lily entered the room, which immediately caught Julian's notice. He gave her an apologetic look.

"Oh! Darling. We woke you."

Lily was clearly uncomfortable and nervous, and wasn't able to fully cover it up in front of them.

"Aren't we having fun?"

"Grandmother!" Skylar grinned as she skipped up to Lily, as happy as ever. "Will you please come dance with me?"

But she didn't wait for a response, taking Lily's hand in hers and skipping round the kitchen with her. And, despite how tense that Lily was, she couldn't help but chuckle lovingly as she gladly let Skylar dance around her. Because, even if the Salvatore Heretic was a straight-up psychotic maniac with hundreds of people's blood on her hands, no one had ever met anyone more alive and carefree than her. It was quite refreshing and calming for many to be in her presence... Skylar made all of the drama happening in the world not seem to matter as much.

As Skylar stopped dancing, walking over to kiss Nora tiredly from skipping around for the last half hour, Lily turned to look at all of the food.

"This looks like quite the feast. What's the occasion?"

Beau, who was in the middle of drinking a mimosa, almost choked in surprise that Lily was unaware of the date.

"It's our anniversary. Skylar and I have been together for 133 years." Nora smiled happily, pressing a kiss to Skylar's lips.

"And to think I was only 17 when we got together. Still a puny little witch without half the strength I have today." Skylar mentioned. She and Nora had gotten together when she was still just a siphoner witch, and had not been turned. It was three years before she became a Heretic.

Julian smiled widely as he walked over to Lily and wrapped his arm around her shoulders.

"It was Lily's idea to host your party tonight."

"Really? Lily Salvatore throws a party?" Nora scoffed in a teasing manner.

"You're underestimating us. I think they're in for a wonderful surprise, don't you, my love?" Julian pulled Lily closer to him and looked at her, and she smiled at him, though it didn't reach her eyes, before she turned back to the girls.
