Word Count: 3504

Jo, Ariana, Elena, and Bonnie were preparing for the wedding in one of the studies in the boarding house. Well, three of them were preparing, but Ariana simply sat in a corner silently. She'd promised Damon that she would at least try and connect with her old self, but it had been hard, and she hadn't spoken much since being there. The others had understood perfectly, though.

Jo was rushing around the room as she searched for something.

"Crap, they're not here!"

Elena looked up at her as she filled a glass with champagne for Ariana, knowing that she needed it.

"What's wrong?"

"My shoes! My gorgeous, ridiculously expensive, wear-them-once-and-then-never-again shoes. They are missing!" Jo freaked out.

"You mean these?" Ariana peaked under the couch that she was sitting on, noticing the stunning pair of shoes, holding them up.

"Yes!" Jo sighed in relief. "Thank you!!"

"You okay?" Elena asked cautiously, taking a seat beside her twin, handing the quiet girl the glass of champagne in her hand.

"Yeah." Ariana eventually decided after a moment of thinking about it, smiling a small smile as she took the champagne from Elena. "Yeah, I... I think I am."

"That's g--"

Elena was cut off by the sound of banging. The Gilbert twins both looked over to see Bonnie hitting a garment steamer, yelling at it.

"I got to figure out how to work this stupid thing!" She was helplessly trying to get the garment steamer to turn on, and accidentally pulled the hose out. Jo looked alarmed and frustrated.

"Oh, good, break it!"

"Hey, hey. Come on. Don't waste all your panic now." Elena sighed. "You still have eight hours until the ceremony."

"You want this? You look like you need this more than I do." Ariana offered her champagne to Jo, who sent her an 'are you serious?' look. The Gilbert girl realised what she said and let out a chuckled. "Right. Forgot about your buns in the oven. Twins, I hear."

"Yep. Twins." Jo nodded. "But if I can't drink, somebody should drink. You should drink."

"Already on it." Ariana took a large gulp of the champagne, before cringing straight after. "Oh, yeah... I have human tolerance now, which is cheaper but a lot less fun."

"Cheers to the human tolerance." Elena held her glass up to Ariana, who laughed and clinked her glass against Elena's.

"Cheers to the human tolerance." She took another, smaller, gulp of the champagne, cringing once again. "Wow. I should really stop drinking this so fast. I don't think I'm ever going to get used to being a human again."

"Ditto." Elena sat back down beside her twin. Jo's cell phone then suddenly rang, and Elena lunged for it to answer it for her. "Jo's phone. Oh, huh. Okay..."

"That's not an 'okay' okay. That's a 'there's a problem' okay." Jo panicked.

"Yeah, we'll call you back. Okay, bye." Elena hung up the phone and awkwardly hesitated for a moment before she turned to Jo. "Danielle's got the flu."

"Huh. It sounded like you just said, 'Danielle has the flu', which is impossible, because Danielle is my wedding coordinator!" Jo frowned, still panicking.

"...Yeah." Elena grimaced.

"Well, how sick is she? Can she still work?" Jo questioned frantically.

"...It depends on how much vomit you want to have at the wedding." Elena replied. Jo walked away and started to pace around the room.
