No one's POV

It was daytime. Katherine and Madeline were both sitting at a table in a restaurant with ten plates of food lying before them. Only three of the plates were Madeline's, and the rest were Katherine's. A waitress came over with two more plates, which she placed on the table.

"Sure little things like you girls can eat all that?" The waitress laughed, sizing the Pierce twins up as if not believing two skinny girls could eat more than one ham sandwich for lunch.

"That's a bit rude, don't you think?" Madeline mumbled, sending the waitress a hurt and offended glare. "Weight is just a part of our appearance. Appetite is a completely different thing."

"Ignore her." Katherine smiled up at the waitress, making Madeline send her a betrayed glare. "We're celebrating. We thought we were gonna die. We didn't. So now, we're free to be whatever we want to be. It's a good day."

"Love the hair, by the way. You're matching! Bold Choice." The waitress commented, before walking off. Madeline furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. She hadn't done anything different to her hair.

Katherine took a look at her reflection in the napkin holder on the table, before she noted a huge grey streak in her hair.

"What is that?" Madeline gasped, immediately beginning to search her hair for anything similar. The waitress had said that they were matching, after all. And just like that, she found a large gray streak through her hair. "Kat? Are we... growing old?"

"No! No, no, of course not!" Katherine hurried out, like she was actually trying to convince herself. "We're just... I mean... uh, it's probably just a side effect from... the cure leaving our systems! Yeah, that's it."

"Katherine..." Madeline frowned. "We're growing old! Does that mean we're... dying...?"

Ariana and Damon were cuddling on the couch in the living room of the boarding house, with a fire providing warmth for them. Ariana was meaning to speak to Damon about his obvious feelings for Madeline still, but at that moment, she was putting it aside to enjoy the well-needed time with her incredible boyfriend.

"This is nice."

"It is nice." Damon agreed, holding Ariana in his arms.

"Quiet, still, peaceful. I like our life when it's like this." Ariana smiled happily, cuddling further into him.

"But it is our life, which probably means that somebody's going to walk through that door and shatter it." Damon pointed out, ruining the moment.

"Ugghhh..." Ariana groaned, obviously unhappy at Damon's words. "Don't say that."

"In ten... nine..."

"Just let me enjoy the moment."

"Six... five..."

"Damon, today is the day that we're going to bring Bonnie back. It's a good day!"

Damon kissed Ariana on the forehead as he continued counting down to two.

"Damon!" Ariana giggled happily. "It's a good day."

Damon and Ariana then kissed, before Ariana put a finger over his lip to quiet him, as she heard footsteps approaching. Silas and Nicholas then burst through the door.

"Greetings!" Nicholas greeted.

"One..." Damon finished the 'moment ruining' countdown with a role of his eyes.
