"So the botanical garden is booked, mini golf is also secured, and tickets for the history museum are secured too," I mumbled to myself.

I had booked the entire trip to Catalina for a 3-day getaway. Andy was about to get home and I was gonna tell him about the surprise since it was 3 weeks away.

"Biscuit do you think he's going to like it?" I asked her.

Like she could really reply to me.

I paced around waiting to hear a door shut. I was bubbling with excitement.

A little after 3:30, Andy waltzed in the front door.

"Hi darling I'm home," Andy called out.

"Hi love," I greeted him.

"Jesus darling you scared me not gonna lie," Andy chuckled.

"Ooops," I remarked.

Andy just smiled as we made our way into the living room.

"Somethings up, what are you hiding?" Andy asked chuckling.

"Nothing, well maybe something," I hinted.

"I'm a terrible guesser," Andy told me.

"Ok sit down and get comfy," I remarked.

"Ok darling," Andy followed my instructions.

I sat down with him.

He put his full attention on me.

"Ok so as you know our anniversary is coming up," I started off.

"Yes," Andy replied happily.

"So, I planned a 3-day getaway for us in Catalina," I stated proudly.

"Catalina? Oh darling that sounds wonderful," Andy replied.

"So I have some stuff booked but I won't tell you till it gets closer," I told him.

Andy just smiled really big at me.

"You did that for us? Oh darling," Andy commented as he was unsure of what to do.

"Well of course I did it for us. Plus Karen always talks about how wonderful Catalina Island is and I was tired of just hearing about it. I wanna see it," I told him chuckling.

"That's my girl," Andy remarked as he leaned over to kiss me.

"Yeah so I hope you are excited to go," I commented.

"Excited? Darling, I'm thrilled. You always know how to make me feel important," Andy told me for the hundredth time.

"Of course, I know how to do that I've been practicing for at least 5 years," I joked.

Andy chuckled.

"Well that's a very good point darling," Andy told me.

Then the doorbell rang which was odd.

We both went to see who it was. It was a delivery.

Andy opened the door.

"For (Y/N) Gibb," the delivery man spoke.

"Yes," I said as I reached to sign for it.

"Thanks," the delivery man handed over a box.

I looked at the return address. It was from my parents.

"My mom sent us something," I commented as I took the box into the living room.

I went to grab some scissors to open it.

"Wait shouldn't you call her first?" Andy asked.

"Why?" I asked.

"So you can tell her it arrived safely," Andy defended.

"Oh I guess," I replied as I reached to dial my mom.

Andy laughed my movements.

After a few rings, she picked up.

"Hi mom," I spoke.

"Hey did it arrive?" was the first thing my mom asked.

"Yes what is it?" I asked.

"It's an early anniversary gift since you two won't be home that week," my mom explained.

"Oh," I commented.

"What is it?" Andy whispered.

"An anniversary present," I replied back.

"Have you opened it yet?" she asked curiously.

"It's sitting right in front of us. Did you want me to open it while we are on the phone?" I asked her.

"Please?" my mom asked over the phone.

"Ok fine," I told her as I handed Andy the scissors.

"Here cut it open," I told him.

"Oh goodie," was my mom's comment.

I chuckled to myself as I watched Andy undo at least 3 layers of clear packing tape.

"What could it be?" I asked.

"Just wait and see," my mom remarked.

Andy got all the tape off and then the real unboxing came. There was a smaller box in the big box surrounded by packing peanuts.

"Open it hurry," I told Andy.

"I have to be careful darling," Andy remarked.

"Yes he does," my mom told me.

"Mom said you do my bad," I told him.

Andy chuckled as he managed to get the box open.

"What is it?" I commented.

"It's a plate with our wedding picture on it," Andy remarked.

"That's so pretty mom," I told her as Andy pulled it out of the bubble wrap.

"I hope you guys like it," my mom said.

"Like it? I love it mom," I told her.

"I love it too," Andy commented so she could hear.

"I'm so glad you guys do," my mom told us.

"Now where to put it?" I said as I looked around the house.

"The china cabinet?" Andy suggested.

"Yes," I replied.

"Ok you two have a good evening love you," my mom said.

"Love you," me and Andy both said.

It's the little things.
