Khonshu

You sat in Marc's apartment holding your head in your hands as you cried softly.
Marc, Steven and Jake were out somewhere, they said they needed to runs some errands.
It was around 10pm, you tried to sleep but you had a nightmare.
Without any of them around you felt so alone and afraid. No matter how hard you tried you couldn't stop crying.

"Marc, Jake. I need..." You heard a voice say as you gasped and looked up to see Khonshu.
That was the last person you wanted to see.

"They're not here, I thought they would be with you." You grumbled hiding your face.

"Why do you sound like that human? You look pathetic." He grumbled as you scoffed.

"They're not here so fuck off." You grumbled, you heard silence and assumed he had left.
But the you felt his giant hand on your head as you looked up in confusion.

"I'm not leaving." He muttered as you glared at him.

"You're a danger to yourself right now. I've seen Marc like this before, and I never let him be alone when he is." He replied as you rolled your eyes.

"Fine." You muttered burying your head in your hands again.
You couldn't get a moment of piece before Khonshu picked you up.
You didn't bother to struggle because he was obviously much stronger.

"What the hell are you doing?" You grumbled as he placed you on the bed and covered you with blankets.

"Making sure you're comfortable. Now lose the attitude." He warned as you sighed and relaxed into the bed.

"I'm sorry." You whispered as Khonshu looked down at you.
He'd never seen you so vulnerable, you'd always just been the annoying human that tagged along with his Moon Knight.
But seeing you like this it was as if he was seeing a hurt puppy that was begging for his help.
He picked up up again as you groaned.

"I just got comfortable." You grumbled as he laid down on top of the bed and placed you on his large chest.

"This way I can make sure you don't run away." He grumbled as you rested your head on his chest.

"Why are you helping me?" You muttered feeling his heavy hand on your hip.

"Don't question it, little one." He said as you chuckled softly and closed your eyes.

"Whatever you say."
