You sat in a dark cold room with your knees hugged to your chest.
You wanted to cry, but you didn't want to make a noise.
You had injuries all over your body and you could feel blood dripping down your face.
You could hear mumbling outside and quickly covered your mouth before the door burst open.

"Well, look at that. My men didn't disappoint me." A strange man said as you looked up at him.
He looked older, with long hair and a cane.

"I'm sorry they had to be so rough with you, but a lot depends on you little one." He whispered, as he bent down and handed you a bread roll.
You quickly took and began to eat.

"There's plenty more where that came from. Would you like to come have dinner?" He asked with a smile on his face.
You nodded and stood up, quickly finishing off the bread roll.
You followed closely behind him down the dark hallway.
You entered a large room where various people sat and ate or talked to one another.

"What is this place?" You muttered as the man turned and smiled at you.

"A place for people who want to find peace, and you're a big part of that for us. Do you know how special you are?" He asked as you shook your head.

"Well, you play a very important roll in making the world heaven on earth." He said as you looked at him in confusion.
You followed him to get some food, you grabbed as much as you could carry.
You forgot when the last time you ate was.
You sat down across from the strange man and began eating.

"How rude of me, my name is Arthur." He said as you nodded with your mouth full.

"Y/N." You muttered trying to not spit out your food.

"I'm r you've been wondering why you're so special." He said, making you nod a little.

"Well, a long time ago there was a prophecy written, about a girl that would She help awaken Ammit. Do you know Ammit?" Arthur asked as you wiped your mouth.

"No." You muttered as he smiled a little.

"She's a lovely goddess and she was trapped a long time ago. You're the key to waking her up again." He said as you felt a sense of dread.

"What do I have to do with it?" You whispered, you stopped eating and looked around nervously.

"You're a very very special part, Y/N. Without you our world is doomed." Arthur said before two men grabbed your arms.
You screamed and tried to break free.

"I know it seems cruel, but you're saving the world." Arthur said as they began to drag you away.

"It's alright everyone." Arthur said to everyone around the room who instantly listened to him.
The men continued dragging you down the hallways as you struggled, but you were too weak.
They brought you into a room where there was a stone table in the middle.
They threw you onto it and secured all your limbs.
You cried out in a panic and thrashed in the restraints.
Arthur ran his hand over your forehead as you cried.

"Your blood is going to save us, Y/N." Arthur said as you continued to cry.
He took out a blade and slashed both of your hands, causing you to scream out in pain.
He stepped back and his staff began to glow as he began to chant.

"Help!" You screamed out as loud as you could.
Smoke began to fill the room as you screamed and screamed until your lungs burnt.
Suddenly the door burst open and Arthur was thrown to the floor.
A flash of white went passed you as the two men were killed.
Arthur stood up and faced a man in a white cloak and suit.

"Marc, I would say what a pleasant surprise, but you just ruined something very important." Arthur said as you looked to the masked man.

"Help, please." You cried out as he looked at you.

"I didn't realise that involved murdering an innocent girl." Marc muttered as you continued to cry.

"Sometimes I need to do gruesome things in order for peace." Arthur said before Marc threw a dart at him and they began to fight.
Between fighting he managed to lodge darts into the restraints, causing them to bust open.
You quickly jumped up and backed away, seeing he had knocked Arthur out.
Marc's mask retracted and he slowly came over to you.

"Hey, it's okay. Let's get you out of here. Do you have a name?" Marc asked as you nodded a little.

"Y/N." You whispered making him nod.

"I'm Marc, I need you to stick close to me and do what I say, alright?" He said as you nodded, he held out his hand and you quickly took it before running out of the room.
His mask reformed and he would let go of your hand briefly to fight off anyone that got in the way.
You finally made it outside and fell to your knees, trying to catch your breath.

"I know you're tired, but we need to keep going." Marc said as he helped you up.
You were still crying as you tried your best to walk, you were far too weak.
Marc saw that you were struggling and quickly picked you up.

"I know somewhere safe."

--

You sat in a dark apartment, Marc was now completely out of his suit and he helped bandaged up your hand.

"Why were you in that place?" Marc asked as you watched him tend to your wounds.

"Arthur said my blood was the key to something." You whispered making Marc sigh.

"He probably needed it for a ritual. You don't need to worry about that now. Do you have somewhere to go home to?" He asked, finishing bandaging your hands as you shook your head.

"I'm homeless." You muttered as Marc nodded and stood up.

"Alright, well you can stay here for the time being. I can't exactly put you back on the street because Arthur will get you. You okay to stay here?" Marc asked as you nodded a little.

"You can have the bed, I'm happy to sleep on the couch." He said as you nodded again and stood up.

"Who's Ammit?" You muttered, making Marc sigh.

"Alright, kid. Sit back down, this is going to take a while."
