Patton leaned on the wooden doorway, biting his lip to try and compress the smile he wore while staring at Deceit who was calmly talking to Roman. It wasn't often Deceit would rock up conversation with one of the sides, especially as he's still not one to be trusted entirely, but they're all trying - even Virgil, who still kind of wants to 'yeet him out the window' - his words specifically.
Wandering in, the pause in their conversation made Deceit look up and catch sight of his boyfriend who hugged Roman from behind, the royal straightening up in surprise. "Ah, Padre!" Roman grinned, reaching around to hug him back shortly.
"Hey, Roman! Hey, Deceit!" The bubbly aspect giggled, hopping over the couch to plop beside Roman who glanced between them both. Patton and Deceit thought their relationship was a secret when in reality everyone knew. They just didn't want to say anything in case they made either of them uncomfortable.
"You were right, Pat, Deceit is nice to talk to" Roman shot a smile at Deceit who smirked back, tipping his hat. "I hope to never see you again, Roman"
As the aspect left the room, he turned his head to reply. "Rude!" But, he knew Deceit was lying, so of course he said it jokingly.
Patton peeked down the hallway and around the room before jumping to the spot beside Deceit, coiling his arms around his waist to pull him into a warm hug, Deceit leaning into it respectfully. "Told you they don't hate you!" Patton whispered happily, biting his lip while gazing at the side of Deceit's face, completely infatuated by him.
The lying side nodded gently, one arm moving to rest across Patton's back, efficiently side hugging him.
"You're right, though I totally don't want to punch Roman whenever he gets annoying" Deceit drawled, pulling Patton to sit on his lap, letting the father-like aspect cuddle into his chest.
"He's trying" Patton giggled, "don't hurt him - he's a precious Prince"
"Oh? It seems you love him more" Deceit teased lightly, but Patton didn't take it jokingly. Sitting up on his lap, Patton moved so his legs were either side of him, face turning serious. "I love all of my kiddos! But nothing can beat my love for you! You're...my snake" he added, his head tilting as he thought of the nickname, brightening up again.
"My snake?" Deceit repeated, raising an eyebrow.
Patton nodded, leaning forward to brush his nose against Deceit's.
"Yep! You're my snake!"
Deceit sighed happily, letting Patton rest his head in the crook of his neck.
"Whatever you say.."
