"D'you think he'll be mad?" Virgil worried as the three traveled through the mountains to try and find the demon they befriended a few months ago. "Of course not!" Patton chirped, skipping along the path they were soon to stray from when the moment was right. "I'm sure he'll be happy!" Patton reassured afterwards, humming a delightful tune with an unmovable grin spread across his lips.

In those months since they met him, Patton had been dying to go back everyday, Logan and Virgil did their best, but in the end nothing could stop Patton when he had a mission set. They all carried three separate bags - Patton's held new clothes and shoes as when they first met Roman was in quite the state, with torn clothes and shoeless feet. Virgil's bag carried shampoo because Patton insisted Roman would want to wash his hair with apple scented soap. It also carried a few soap bars, a small collection of makeup (just incase) and an extra, warm blanket.

Logan's bag held food, drinks, maps and a compass which was more for the three of them and not for Roman incase they were to get lost or needed a snack on the way.

"We turned off this way" Logan gestured to the entrance between two tall bushes. Patton turned to the gap and quickly rushed through, finding the area slightly more familiar. As they all started up conversation, they headed deeper between the tall mountains, sticking to the rocky ground below until all of their eyes landed on the cave situated towards the top of the tallest mountain.

"Will he even be up there?" Logan questioned sceptically, eyeing the path that wasn't very safe at all. "I think he will!" Patton responded before hurrying over. Logan and Virgil had no choice but to follow, the three of them helping each other up like they had done last time. After slipping, tripping and almost falling, they all clambered up to the ledge protruding out the side of the mountain overlooking the land the sun shone brightly over.

Patton beamed and moved further into the cave that darkened considerably. "Roman?" He called - no response. Logan sighed, "see? He isn't here. He obviously knew we would be back and moved ca-"

"Greetings, peasants!"

"aAVE-!" Logan yelled in shock, whirling around on his feet and nearly falling over. Virgil, however, did fall over, but not with fear, with laughter at seeing his best friend have the living daylights scared out of him. Roman grinned upon hearing Virgil's laughter bounce off the walls surrounding them, he also clutched his stomach and mocked Logan who straightened himself out and huffed in disbelief.

"Why did I agree to come back?" He asked himself, surprised when he felt a pair of lips gently peck his cheek. "Don't worry, Lo!" Patton smiled sweetly, "I was scared, too" he admitted with a light chuckle, turning to Roman before he noticed the light blush across his cheeks. "Ro, gosh, I've missed you" Patton sighed happily open seeing the demon, dropping his bag and slowly manoeuvring himself into his arms. Roman hummed happily and hugged back, picking him up and curling an arm under his butt to prop him up.

"I think I made it pretty clear to not come back" Roman mused, Virgil snorted. "You thought that would keep Patton away?" Roman shared laughter with the emo all the while Patton whined, blushed an hid his face in his hands. "I care about you, Ro! I couldn't just leave you here alone" Patton excused, wriggling out of his grip and onto the floor.

"Which is why" he picked up his bag and threw it into Roman's chest. The man caught it with a huff and a slight stumble. "We brought you gifts!" He then handed him Virgil's bag and beamed, bobbing on his feet while watching his expression. Roman's eyes softened as he held both of the bags, gaze meeting Patton's with a soft smile joining in.
