Virgil clenched and unclenched his hands as he tried to sooth the anxiety that crashed through his chest painfully, restricting his breathing he desperately tried to keep under control. Across the field from him was his boyfriend, Roman, hanging out with his theatre friends. He was in a mood with Virgil for what he did yesterday, and Virgil didn't blame him.

He acted like a dick to him with no justification and now he needed to apologise. Big surprise - he was anxious about it. For some reason, he could feel a panic attack crawling up his back, the idea of Roman rejecting him, ignoring him, or saying something rude in response almost brought him to tears.

Even so, he loved Roman, and needed to do this. He slowly walked over, freezing momentarily when one of Roman's friends gestured over to him. Roman glanced over, expression falling blank. He murmured something to his friends and pushed up from the tree he leant on, meeting Virgil halfway.

"I'm sorry" Virgil's voice broke out, and he cursed himself for it. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, please don't hate me" he begged, voice on the edge of whispering, cracking with sobs mixed between. He covered his mouth, clenching his eyes to try and stop himself from breaking down. This was about Roman, not him, either way Roman didn't seem to mind, instead he curled both arms around Virgil's waist and held the boy close.

"It's okay, Dearest" Roman murmured into his ear, "it's okay" he repeated reassuringly.

Virgil shook his head stubbornly, "it-it's not, I didn't mean t-to hurt you, god, Ro, I'm sorry-"

Roman cut him off with a short and sweet kiss. "I shouldn't have pushed you yesterday, you were in a bad mood but I wanted attention. I love you and I won't ever stop, c'mere, lets forget about this, okay?"

"Please" Virgil whispered, allowing Roman to hold him in his arms again.

"I love you too.."
