I haven't updated this book as much recently - I'm sorry - the reason is because I'm focusing solely on Fake Happiness - which is an actual book about Thomas and his sides by the way - if you want you can read it...it's on mah page

Roman absentmindedly stared at the lying aspect who sat on the other section of the couch, he was completely enveloped in the book Logan suggested to him, and with each passing page he wanted to know more, wondering where the storyline could possibly go.

It was kind of cute to watch? Weirdly, the way his face distorted with different emotions as he read, sometimes he'd look happy, other times he'd look like he wanted to rip one of the characters necks off. Sometimes, though, his tongue would poke out and wet his lips, captivating the Prince who couldn't possibly pry his eyes away.

He never really thought about Deceit like this before, really he was just another side, even if he was a quote on quote, "bad side", as he himself put it, he was still...fun? To hang out with. When he didn't feel the need to lie all the time, he was a pretty humorous guy, if you were into dry humour, that is. Sometimes, when it was a peaceful afternoon, and no one was stressed with the life of Thomas, all the sides would sit in the living room and just...talk.

Roman always enjoyed those afternoons, no one was arguing, even Virgil and Deceit were civil, sometimes the evening ended with watching a Disney movie, and on even rarer occasions, he would sit beside Deceit and "accidentally" drop his head onto his shoulder. Roman always noticed how he would never tense when he did, or move away, sometimes he'd even rest his head on Roman's! It was utterly heart warming.

While in thought, his already high confidence spiked, and he stood up, flopping elegantly next to Deceit. The side straightened, sparing a glance at the side who focused on the book in his hands, reading a few lines but realising he wouldn't understand anything - he was already half way through the book.

Deceit wondered what the creative side was doing, but he shrugged it off, not entirely caring as he went back into his book. Minutes passed, and Deceit almost completely forgot about Roman before a head landed on his shoulder. Lifting his head, he turned to stare at Roman who closed his eyes and drew his legs up onto the couch, a blanket suddenly appearing over his body. Deceit placed the book on the armchair, pushing Roman up a little only to lay him down on his lap.

Turning his head, Roman went to question him when a gloved finger landed across his lips, shushing him.

"As much as I adore listening to your voice" he drawled, scooping up his book, "I would much rather finish this book" he explained briefly, from his peripheral vision he saw Roman smile softly and roll over so he could nuzzle his face into his stomach. Deceit rolled his eyes fondly, one hand dropping from the book so he could play with the soft strands of his hair, chuckling lightly when a whine escaped the boy after he removed his hand to flip the page over.

Going back to the continuous movements of combing his fingers through his hair, Roman relaxed completely, eyes fluttering for a moment before his lips parted, breath evening out. Tugging the blanket closer to the creative aspects body, Deceit settled against the couch, a few hours passing before he was also asleep, book on the floor, hand still resting in his hair.

Patton was the first to spot them, letting out a small coo as he did. He picked up the book and placed it on the coffee table, pressing gentle kisses to both of their foreheads before letting them sleep together peacefully.
