Logan gently closed the door behind him after he stepped inside of his house, throwing the keys into the bowl before sliding off his shoes and hanging up his jacket. It was a long day of work, and even if he felt exhausted, he had enjoyed every minute of it. Today was his first day of his new job, and that morning he couldn't have been more excited. He remembered Patton had wanted him to tell him all of what happened today, so with a smile he headed up the staircase quickly, slowing down his movements after he heard faint crying.

The confusion only lasted a split second before concern washed over him. He sped up again and burst into his bedroom, finding Patton sitting on their bed, drying his tears with a tissue he clenched in his hands. Why would he be crying? The possibilities swirled around Logan's mind like a hurricane as he kneeled before Patton, gently placing a hand on his shoulder to let him know he was there.

Said man flinched a little, smiling when he saw the worried face of his husband.

"Oh, h-hey Logy " he sniffled, turning his body to face him slightly after he moved to sit next to him, reaching out to hold onto his free hand, stroking the top of it calmly.

"What happened? Why are you upset?" He asked, tilting his head in curiosity after Patton chuckled wavily, his other hand which still held the tissue resting on his flat stomach. He smiled up at him through his tears, giggling because he couldn't contain his happiness.

"I-I'm not upset...I'm..pregnant"

Logan paused, eyes scanning his face for any signs to show he was lying - but he couldn't see any, he wasn't lying, he was serious... Logan slapped himself mentally, cursing his brain for even thinking that Patton would ever lie about something like this. Of course he was telling the truth, he looks like he's been crying for hours!

Feeling his heart hammer against his chest, Logan couldn't do anything else but pull Patton into a tight hug, own tears accumulating in his eyes once Patton began to laugh through the water droplets that tracked down his cheeks. Pulling back, Logan kept one arm around his waist while his other hand laid gently on top of Patton's - which still rested on his stomach - so gently, like he would actually harm the baby if he put anymore pressure on it.

Well, he would, but that's not the point.

"But I...I thought.." Logan drifted, staring at the carpet with furrowed eyebrows. They had tried for a baby two years before this, but unfortunately didn't get any results. They went to the doctor, and found out it would be a rare chance for Patton to become pregnant if they were to try - they did, a few more times, but gave up hope only a few months later.

Now, though...it was different. He was pregnant. He is carrying their child...

Logan would be a father.

He couldn't help the wide smile that stretched out across his face before he pulled Patton into another hug, hiding his face in his shoulder, both men crying for a bit more out of pure happiness. Afterwards, Patton showed him the test, proving that it was positive, and they would have a child.

Eight months later...

"Love?" Logan called, quickly dropping his keys into the bowl and heading up the stairs. Ever since Patton became pregnant, Logan's level of protectiveness rose exponentially. It was already pretty high, but that was only because he loved Patton more than anyone could imagine, and the mere idea of Patton getting hurt sent him into a frenzy. And if someone dared to hurt him, Logan would go insane.

As this feeling has only doubled as now Patton is carrying their child, Logan felt panic bubbling up inside of him when Patton didn't reply. They were worried for the first few months they might have a miscarriage, but after the nurses reassured them the baby was perfectly okay, their worries finally eased half way during the pregnancy, now Logan was more worried on the giving birth part, but he couldn't focus on that right now.

Opening his bedroom door, he visibly relaxed when he saw Patton placing a few baby clothes into a pile, standing next to the crib they had bought and made for their baby boy. Turning his head, Patton gasped, grabbing something from the desk that had mostly turned into where all the babies stuff would go, rushing up to Logan as fast as he could.

"Be careful" Logan commented, arms resting on his waist. Patton giggled, holding up the adorable baby clothing. "Roman helped me pick it out today! Isn't it so cute!?" He exclaimed, walking back to the desk to place it neatly in the pile, slowly closing the draw with a smile.

Logan walked up behind him, hugging him from behind softly, his hand resting on top of the bump that grew and grew over the past few months. As to be expected, obviously. Patton leaned into him, turning his head so he could send him a smile, humming in content when Logan pressed a short kiss to his lips.

"I love you" Patton mumbled, eyes closed, head resting on his shoulder. Logan led Patton to their bed, sitting him down so he could relax. Being out with Roman the entire day can be tiring, with the added weight of being pregnant. "I will make dinner, you take a short nap" Logan told him, helping him lay down and bring the blanket over his body.

Patton giggled gently, staring up at the man he loved adoringly. "You're the best husband ever" he murmured, eyes dropping with the tiredness that suddenly overwhelmed him.

"I cannot compare to you" Logan replied quietly, pressing a short kiss to the side of his head. "Get some sleep"

Heading to the doorway, he turned around, calling out Patton's name.

"Yeah?" He yawned, snuggling into the warm blankets.

Logan smiled. "I love you, too"

Two months later...

Logan stepped into the bedroom they shared after his long day of work, spotting his husband sitting beside the crib he gently rocked back and forth, humming a gentle tune to the sleeping baby. Their sleeping baby. Patton loves kids, it was obvious with the way he acted around them, and now he had one of his own....he wanted to give their baby the world.

Quietly taking a seat beside him, Patton leaned onto his shoulder, Logan's arm instinctively wrapping around him.

"I'm very proud of you" Logan murmured to him in the silence, both parents staring at their sleeping child with a smile.

"Hey...Lo?" Patton replied in a nervous tone, fiddling with the sleeves of his cardigan.

"Yes?"

"Do you...think I should...stop being a man for him?" Patton spoke meekly, his eyes now staring at their carpet.

Logan furrowed his eyebrows, turning to face Patton to show his confusion. "What do you mean?"

"W-Well...wouldn't he want to have a dad and a mom?" Chewing his lip, Patton let Logan tilt his head towards him so he could stare into his anxious eyes as he spoke.

"Patton, having two fathers is not at all different from having both a mother and a father - as long as we are there for him, I am sure he will not mind" Logan watched Patton slowly smile again, burying his face into Logan's shoulder as he pulled the taller man in for a hug, whispering a small thank you.

"Anything for you, my love"
