If you asked Logan if he would ever have children a few years ago, he would defiantly say no and list reason after reason why he doesn't - and never will want - to have a child under his care. Until recently. Since Patton wormed his way into Logan's life, everything has been thrown off course. In the beginning, Logan hated it, but now, three years into their relationship, he couldn't be more happy Patton decided to talk to him at that dance Roman invited them too.

Throughout the course of visiting the orphanage, Logan could tell Patton was unhappy. He thought Patton had wanted a child? When he asked him about it, he found out Patton wanted a baby, not to say the children in the orphanage weren't wonderful, and he does want to adopt, but he's always wanted his first child to be a baby. So, Logan rung up a friend of his Patton hadn't met yet - their name was Remy, and he knew their sister to be a surrogate.

Cut to twelve months later, in his arms Logan held his child. He didn't care that they weren't related biologically, he was a father to him, and that's all that mattered. Beside him, Patton was passed out, tired from the many nights spent up feeding Virgil - their baby - Logan did help out but most of the time left Patton to his devices, because he was more than happy to do it himself.

Now, though, it was late, Virgil was awake and making gurgling noises, wide brown eyes staring up at Logan's hand in amazement. Logan smiled fondly, drawing his legs up so Virgil could rest against them, using his now free hand to grip his hands lightly, playing with his small fingers that curled around his. He grinned, cooing and pulling funny faces that made delightful laughter slip from Virgil's lips.

Gently stroking his cheek, Logan placed another hand on his stomach and began to tickle him, which made him screech, squirm, and laugh. It was music to Logan's ears, and he wondered how he ever hated children. Well, he still does, Virgil will forever be the exception. Because he was his. Once his laughter died down, and he was silently staring, Logan leaned forward and gently kissed his forehead. This made Virgil giggle lightly, reaching forward and holding one of Logan's hands in his own.

The man could feel his heart melting, and he didn't want to let him go. Grabbing his blanket, he wrapped him up, laid against his pillow to prop himself up comfortably, and allowed Virgil to sleep on his chest. He was planning to put him into his crib later on, but he accidentally fell asleep, too.

The next morning Patton woke up to a sight that nearly made him cry. Logan settled against the pillows, arms loosely yet protectively held around Virgil's sleeping body that settled against his chest. Of course, Patton had to snap a few pictures before cuddling up into their pile, one arm laid across Logan's waist, head on his shoulder.

In that moment, Patton knew he had fallen so deeply in love nothing could ever separate him from the nerd sleeping soundlessly right beside him.
