"Aunty 'Manda I'm taller now!"
"Yes you are honey. You're excited huh?"
"Duh, I wanna be taller than you!"
"That won't be anytime soon kiddo. Stop trying to grow so fast!" I stuck my tongue out and made a silly face.
"Where's my mommy?"
"She's working. She'll be back soon."
"She needs to hurry!"
"She'll be here soon, how about I get you a soda?"
"Then see uncle Fin?"
"Maybe." She took me over to the machine and I chose ginger ale.
"Ginger ale is my favorite!"
"Coke is better."
"Is not. Auntie 'Manda you need to start drinking good sodas."
"I already am. And it's Coke." We sat at the table and drank our drinks.
"I don't even wanna keep going, I can't change your mind."
"Where's Noah?"
"He didn't wanna even come. So boring."
"Maybe he wanted to watch tv."
"I guess."
"Is that Bella I see?"
"Uncle Fin! Come!" He came and gave me a hug.
"How are ya buddy?"
"I'm great. But Aunty 'Manda doesn't even think ginger ale is the best."
"Ginger ale is the best." He gave me a fist bump.
"You know I have something I wanna show you."
"What?"
"This cool hairstyle, look its called Fulani braids. Don't they look so cute?"
"I like them."
"How do you feel about putting them in your hair?"
"I could?"
"Why not?"
"I wanna try it. Look at those beads! It's so pretty. Would Livia let me?"
"She probably would, It's part of your culture she will most likely say yes."
"What if she doesn't?"
"Don't worry, I'll talk her into it."
"It looks really pretty though." My aunt said.
"Like me? Am I pretty?"
"Of course you are!"
"Uncle Fin, can I ask you something?"
"Sure."
"Was your hair curly like mines before you cut all of?"
"Yes, why?"
"You tell me to love my hair, but you cut your hair off." Auntie 'Manda laughed at him.
"Exactly."
"Sheesh. I'm hurt Bella." I laughed at him even more.
"Hey guys, sorry about the wait-" My mom froze dead in her tracks. She put down the food and made a big smile.
"Hey Bella! What are you doing here?"
"Waiting on you! You took forever mommy."
"I know, I know. Where's Noah?"
"With Lucy at home."
"I picked her up Liv."
"Oh Alright. Thanks. Are you hungry baby?"
"A little. Mommy aren't you happy I'm here."
"Yes of course, it just wasn't expected! Amanda, I'm guessing she took Noah to that thing huh?"
"Yeah, so to take the stress off of her I decided to get our favorite munchkin."
"Uncle Fin went to do something but he has to show you something mommy!"
"Wow, like what?"
"It's for me, but I not gonna tell you any more,"
"Hmm, you two are up to something."
"Yeah top secret. But can you pick me up?"
"Sure." She finally picked me up.
"Don't fall asleep on me now. Or you're going home."
"No!" I was already sleepy.
"I'm just joking. But eat some food."
"Im gonna leave you guys to bond for a little. Liv- the Vic?"
"Oh yeah- see you guys later."
"What vic Mommy?"
"It's work baby. How was school?"
"It was fun. We had tons of yummy foods today. I had African food! That's my culture mommy."
"Yes it is, it is your culture. Did you have any European foods too?"
"Yes! That's my culture too right?"
"Yep. What food did you have?"
"Ratatouille! I thought the food was fake and only in the movie, but it's real! And it's really yummy."
"I'll try making it for you one day okay?"
"Okay. Mommy can I do the Fulani braids?"
"What's that?"
"Braids that uncle fin showed me. It's an African hairstyle and I like it. Can I do them please!"
"Let me see this hairstyle. Type it in for me." I put it in and the pretty braid came back again.
"Oh that's darling! Of course you can! I'm going to ask Uncle Fin where you could do these."
"Thank you mommy. What is that?"
"What?"
"That. Is that chicken?"
"Yeah, here eat some." My mom watched me eat it.
"What's wrong?"
"I don't know, just not hungry anymore." I put the fork down and scratched my leg.
"It itches huh?"
"Yes, can I change? I don't wanna wear these stockings anymore."
"You have a change of clothes? From where?"
"Home. Please mommy? I'm so itchy."
"Wanna change in my office?"
"Yes." Mommy put her food away and took me into her office then locked the door.
"Let me see these clothes." Mommy went into my bag and took out my jeans. She took off my dress and stockings and let me put on my jeans.
"Can I play games?"
"Not right now munchkin, I'm going to talk to the rest of the squad, so I need my iPad,but you can draw for me."
"Okay. Mommy when you're done can I please talk to you?"
"Of course. Love you munchkin."
"Love you too."

"I want to still do both mommy. I can't wait until I turn 6 mommy."
"Slow down kiddo! That's in December."
"December is in like 2 weeks."
"Well your birthday is December 15th."
"Well, I'm younger then you!"
"This is how you treat your mommy?"
"Yes. You started it, so I finish it like a boss!" I folded my arms and gave her the Uncle Fin stare. He does it when he's serious or I'm doing something he wants me to stop.
"Okay boss! I surrender okay."
"I no accept! Just kidding. But mommy can I tell you a secret?" I was smiling from ear to ear.
"What secret?"
"I'm going to a wedding!"

"How come?"
"Because he always playing with me! I wanna play with Abby instead."
"Do you get to play with Abby?"
"Only a little bit. That's why I don't like boys. I mean they can be nice sometimes when they're not hurting your tummy."
"Come here. Sometimes you just need to politely say I don't wanna do something. Did you try that munchkin?"
"I did. But he still plays with me when I want to play with someone else."
