"Nope, they're volcanoes. Don't worry though I doubt any of them will explode" Missy laughed with a grin "wonder what a volcano looks like from the inside..." she murmured to herself.

You gave her a weird look at that before laughing "it's painful. That's all you need to know. There's lava and it's painful. That's why you are not going inside of one to find out" you told her firmly.

"I wasn't going to go inside!" Missy laughed in response "I was thinking about it but..."

"Well don't even think about it" you told her, pointing a finger at her "I'm not having you die anytime soon" you mumbled the last part quietly.

She chuckled softly before pulling you into a hug and kissing the top of your head, making you sigh and snuggle into her body. She obviously heard you with her enhanced hearing. You were glad she did too. She needed to know. You didn't know what you would have done if she died...or if any of these people died. They were your closest friends...your family...

"I'm not going anywhere" Missy said softly, the two of you looking out into the sea, the waved softly crashing against the black sand, creating a foamy look close to your feet "it takes a lot to get rid of me" she chuckled lightly "and I never stay dead so" she grinned, shrugging a little.

You smiled in response before squeezing her a little "it still doesn't mean that's one hundred percent..that you'll always be there. You won't do something stupid that will get you killed..." you told her in a slow and soft tone, your heart already hurting at that thought.

"Hey, in case you haven't noticed we both do stupid and reckless things! Reckless things are fun anyways" Missy laughed, as did you, a smile tugging at your lips.

You couldn't help but agree with her on that. Wandering off, being a little adventurous, figuring things out for yourself...it gave you a certain thrill. An excitement inside of you. And a sense of achievement. It was just more..fun that way! You couldn't help but break the rules now and again.

"And anyways" Missy continued "the chances of me dying are practically zero percent. I promise you on that. Nothing will happen to me. In fact, it's you that I'm worried about. You can't just regenerate...humans are fragile. You break so easily...and once you do you don't come back. Ever...." she sighed slightly at that, a frown making its way to her mouth.

"I know..." you mumbled quietly "the doctor said something familiar to me once..." you told her with a sigh.

"Well I guess we both just have to make a promise to each other. Don't die on each other. Stick together and...fuck around with the whole universe" Missy laughed, making you giggle.

"Sure, pinky promise" you smiled, putting your little finger up.

She grinned before linking pinky pingers with you, the two of you staring at each other's eyes.

"Promise" Missy smiled.

"Okay. Well now that's over with, I want to race the doctor up that cave" you giggled, getting up and brushing yourself off of the sand.

Missy did the same and you both made your way over to the others. Apparently they had been having a whole tournament, and the doctor was the reigning champion. Undefeated according to the others.

"I'll beat her" Missy said, grinning a little while cracking her fingers.

"Fine" the doctor smiled widely "challenge accepted! We used to do this kind of stuff all the time on Gallifrey, remember"

"Yeah I do" Missy smirked "and I remember winning"

"But I want a go!" You whined, crossing your arms with a pout.

"You sounded like a kid there (y/n)" Yas laughed, making you laugh a little.

"I'm not. But you two can have your face after me. Doctor, you're going up against me first. So come on" you told them before walking up to the cave rocks and placing your hand on one of them.

The doctor shrugged before walking up and placing her hands on too, giving you a look. You just raised a brow in return, a grin making its way up your face.

"Something the matter Doctor?" You teased with a laugh.

"I just don't want you to be embarrassed when you lose" the doctor said smugly, making you raise your brows in surprise.

"Well I hope you don't get too lost in glory there doctor. It only makes the fall more brutal" you told her in response with a small chuckle, determination only growing within you.

"Okay. On your marks. Get set!" Ryan called out "go!"

With that you both started to race up the rocks, stepping up and pushing yourself up. You made sure to use your legs to push yourself up higher, and make sure not to use your arms to pull you up.

People's strength lies in their legs. Arms took some training. Push-ups or whatever. However people's legs were used for walking or running every day. And you tended to do a lot of that during travelling with the doctor. Running and the doctor came hand in hand.

You couldn't help but frown a little though when seeing the doctor start to get ahead. You gritted your teeth and pushed yourself harder, getting higher and higher, making sure not to fall also.

You could hear the others cheering you both on, making you smile in response. Their cheers were nice to hear, telling you you could do it and screaming out for you. You weren't exactly used to that.

Though Yas was shouting for the doctor a lot. Missy was purely on your side. While the boys kind of...switched between you both.

You started to catch up with the doctor, the smile on your face only getting wider. But to your dismay, the doctor managed to just get further up than you, enough to win the race by less than a second before you.
