The chief gave a whole speech about welcoming you back to the village, after a long twenty year wait. Cobi was the loudest cheerer at the end, and you couldn't help but smile and feel really happy about that, laughing along. Though everyone else was also cheering for you, calling out welcome backs and whatever.

Then it was time to eat. You moved to sit next to Cobi, with Karmilla and the chief and his wife alongside on the table. Though of course you made sure to keep a small distance between everyone else so they wouldn't make contact. You decided to live your life while you were here, but that didn't mean you were going to start trusting people enough for that.

But of course, all in all, you were beginning to feel a little happy here. Of course there was a looming sadness over your heart, severely missing the whole team TARDIS. You were still hoping that you would be able to find them somehow.

"So, I heard you guys are planning on finding a way to contact the doctor..." you spoke up, swallowing your food down properly with some water "find some way to bring her back..."

"Well...we're looking into it. But you must realise, we are simple people. We don't have the technological advancements that I've heard the doctor speak about on different planets. Even the advancements on your own world, Earth. But we'll try our hardest to see if we can do anything" the chief replied to you, making you nod your head in response with a small sigh.

"Okay. Well I would like to help in any way I can. I don't know much about...technology or contacting space. But I want to help, however I can" you told them, to which the chief simply smiled in response.

"Of course. You're welcome to help if you want to. We're still trying to figure out what we can do but we'll try everything we can." The chief told you.

"Yeah, we'll even gather everyone and howl into the night sky if we have to. Just to get the doctor to hear us" Cobi smiled, making you laugh a little, your heart lifting at that.

"I'm not sure that would work but I'll try anything" you laughed, cutting your food up.

You still didn't even know what it was you were eating. Alien food and all, it still creeped you out sometime. You definitely knew one thing for sure though, they had some damn good alcohol here. Whatever you were drinking had a strong kick to it. You needed to be careful you wouldn't get drunk. Not in front of the kids anyways. All of them seemed like they looked up to you or something here.

Just then, a kid came up to your table with his siblings who looked a little older than he was. You smiled at all three of them, trying to look as friendly as you could.

"Hi...um...we heard about you and that you travel in the whole wide universe. We think you're really cool. Oh and thanks for bringing Cobi here. He plays sports with us all the time. Would you like to play sometime too?" The little boy asked, making you smile.

"Well thank you. And yeah I have travelled the universe. I can tell you some stories sometimes if you want. And I'd love to play a game with you. Though I must warn you I might not be very good" you replied "what's your name?" You asked.

"Charlie" he replied with a smile.

"Charlie? My brothers name in Charlie.." you told him with a small laugh, sighing a little at the thought of never seeing him again "well it's nice to meet you. My name is (y/n). Though you probably know that already"

"We all know that!" The girl laughed "my name is Jordan. And that's Cari"

You smiled "nice to meet you all"

They nodded their heads and Charlie giggled a little as they walked away. You smiled at how adorable those kids were, but you couldn't help but feel a little sadness and defeat in your chest. You suppose...that just made you realise that you were stuck there forever now. Or at least a long time by the looks of things.

Even if you found a way to contact the doctor, that alone would take ages to master. To figure out how to send any kind of signal to space as a scream for that blue box to come back.

You wanted Missy...you wanted your angel back. You wanted a hug, or maybe just some reassurance. You were afraid... Of course you were happy to be in a safe place with such loving people. But you were scared you wouldn't get back home... Scared you wouldn't be able to see anyone again. Missy was the first person in...years that you had been able to feel safe around while dating. And having felt so loved. You wanted that back...

Just then you heard a sound in the distance, and your heart instantly skipped a beat. You didn't know if you heard that correctly or if your mind was playing tricks on you but...you thought you heard the TARDIS. It sounded exactly like that sound that just...that always gave you hope whenever you heard it.

There it was again! You heard that soft whoozing, and you instantly turned your head, furrowing your brows as you listened closely. You knew that sound anywhere...

"(Y/n)?" Cobi spoke up just as you stood up from the table, your ears listening in closely on the sound.

"They're here..." you whispered, hearing the noise get louder as you started to clamber out of the bench "they're here! That's the TARDIS!" You exclaimed, before suddenly breaking out into a run as fast as you could in that direction, opening the doors and reaching the fresh air.

The sound was only getting louder. The sound of the TARDIS...
