Striker howled just beneath Thorson's bedroom window, then again.

"What are you doing here?" Thorson whispered as he slipped out of the house undetected. "I thought you were in Atlantis..."

Striker, of course, couldn't answer the young man, circling instead before heading toward the forest, pausing only to see if Thorson realized he needed to follow the wolf.

Thorson was already eating up the distance between where he had been standing and Lanecea's familiar, the two disappearing within the woods.

"The queen needs you," the dryads informed Thorson as Striker and the prince entered the grove. "It is faster if you enter the underworld through this portal. She is in the cavern on the other side of your property's border. We have been unable to convince her to return. Lanecea can be so stubborn, worried about property boundaries when she is so unwell."

"She's unwell?"

"Oh right, you wouldn't know... Yes, she has been ill for a few weeks now. We don't know what is wrong..."

Thorson didn't wait another moment, taking the stairs leading into the underworld two at a time as Striker led him to where the queen lay with her head resting on her arm beside the clear waters of an underground lake.

"My Prince," Lanecea smiled as he wrapped her burning hot body in his arms, "I was hoping you'd cuddle with me. Did you feel me calling out?"

"My whole body feels you all the time but I couldn't get away. I'm so sorry. You're very sick. I am worried - I should have joined you sooner."

"I didn't want to get you into trouble," Lanecea whispered, sighing as Thorson kissed her scalding hot forehead, the touch of his lips comforting her heart. "Atlantis is no more. It couldn't be saved after all. I did truly hope that we could change history."

"We did," Thorson attempted to comfort Lani, "Atlantis will always be remembered, we'll make sure of it. I'm just glad you and the children made it out safely. I'm sorry that I couldn't be there to help you, but Mom grounded me. I asked the centaur to tell you what has happened - you deserve the truth."

Lanecea kissed the prince's fingers before entwining hers with his.

"My heart is in great pain, of course, but I don't blame you. It wasn't your fault and I know you would have helped me, had you been in Atlantis at the time."

"I didn't do anything bad. I was just thinking of you and my cock wouldn't stop erupting. Mom...well, you know what happened."

Lanecea rested her feverish forehead on Thorson's arm but didn't say a word. What, really, could be said?

Watching the water sparkle beneath the soft light in the cavern, Lanecea sighed before speaking.

"Storm will return at some point, hopefully, and will set the world right. He will know what to do - he always does."
