Yozora stood there in shock. Right in front of him was the cause of Nora's suffering and the reason innocent people were sacrificed. Takasugi was holding Tasuke hostage so he couldn't do anything reckless.
"Nice to meet you. I'm Takasugi Shinsuke. This idiot here is Grimmjow. See i came here because i wanted to make a deal with you, Yozora."
Yozora stood there staring at the man. Why would he want to make a deal with him? Yozora came from a poor family so it's not like he has anything to offer.
"I can't have you taking out Grimmjow now so i stepped in. Now let me explain the deal. Nora or Tasuke, which one of them should die and be eaten."
That question..........it was too cruel. Yozora could never make a choice like that. To sacrifice one life for another. How can someone possibly be able to do that? Takasugi saw the look on Yozora's face and he enjoyed it. The son of a monster like Yaboku filled with despair.
"I'm sorry, that was too cruel. So, i'll give you three days. The deal is simple, if you hand over Nora to me i'll give you back this boy. However, if you don't i'll just feed the boy to Grimmjow."
"WHY THE HELL ARE YOU DOING THIS?! WHAT THE HELL DO YOU HAVE TO GAIN FROM THIS, TAKASUGI!!!!!"
Takasugi was caught off guard by this outburst. As he was surprised Yozora charged in to slash Takasugi, only for the man to block the strike with his own blade.
"Tell me,do you want to be a Hero of Justice? To save everyone so no one suffers. To defeat the evil that caused all this suffering. Do you really think justice will prevail in our world?"
Takasugi kicked Yozora into a rock as he glared at the boy. Grimmjow never saw Takasugi like this. He felt joy and anger coming from the man simultaneously. Takasugi walked closer to Yozora as he was still carrying the unconscious Tasuke.
"There is no such thing as salvation. In this world, the hero you want to be does not exist. Not everyone can be saved, there are even some people not worth saving. You have to make a choice and with your impossible ideals, it will break you."
Takasugi hits Yozora's face with the hilt of his sword. Yozora was thinking about what he said. He couldn't agree with him. Not a single word of it.
"Yozora, if you save Nora then you'll fail as a Demon Slayer and as this boy's brother figure. If you save Tasuke and give me Nora, that would mean betraying her trust and helping me. Either way your life will change from here. To be a failure of a hero or failure as a human. I wonder which you'll pick. But either option ends with someone you care for being eaten and my demon grows stronger. Choose wisely."
"THEN EAT ME DAMMIT!!!! YOU WANT A DAMN MARECHI RIGHT?! THEN GO ON!!!! LET GRIMMJOW EAT ME.....please.....just let Tasuke go. Leave Nora out of this."
"That isn't possible Yozora, you are in no position to make demands. This is your fault. Just think like a true Hero of Justice. All you have to do is sacrifice a few to save the many. Though i guess you would never know what a hero is, after all it wasn't your dream to be one in the first place."
With that Takasugi and Grimmjow leave the area. Yozora sat there with a look of despair on his face. He was forced to choose, to save Tasuke or to save Nora.
"What should i do.......what the hell should i do..........dammit!!!!!!"
~Meanwhile~
Nora woke up as she was inside of the church. All she remembered was that she was in the shopping district with Tasuke until she passed out. Soon she saw her father walk towards her.
"Oh my, it seems you are awake Nora. I'm sorry i had to do this but please, feel right at home."
"Why are you doing this father?! What happened to Tasuke?!"
Kotomine looked at his daughter. Tears were forming into her eyes. He couldn't help but chuckle, soon it turned to full blown laughter.
"My daughter it is a simple story. There is nothing that brings me happiness. It does not matter, let it be believing in people or having people believe in me. What other people called happiness did not bring me any joy."
Kotomine looks at his daughter shaking in fear. He couldn't help but smile at this. Nora was terrified, why would her own father go through with this.
"Rest easy, Nora. For depending on Yozora's actions you may be spared. Though isn't this your own fault? If you didn't ask him for your help perhaps Takasugi wouldn't have found him? Perhaps he wouldn't even be involved, even that young boy got dragged into this."
Nora couldn't hold back her tears. It was all her fault. If she hadn't begged Yozora for help and just let herself die none of this would've happened.
"You're right....but.....don't underestimate Yozora, i'm certain he'll save me and Tasuke. You may be my father, BUT I'LL NEVER FORGIVE YOU!!!!!"
"Is that it? Do you think i care for forgiveness? If i did, would i ever stoop this low. Nora, your life brings suffering to others. Yozora must be like a light of hope to you. That may be true, but it's the brightest light that casts the darkest of shadows. Now then, let's see what path your savior chooses."
~Onui's Workshop~
Onui was doing maintenance on a sword for one of her clients. Soon she heard the door open and saw the man in question.
"Oh, Shinazugawa-san. Don't worry i just finished working on your blade."
Onui went to the front of her shop and before her stood Sanemi, the Wind Pillar. He had an irritated look on his face. Onui could tell he was muttering to himself.
"Arrogant bastard....to deny an offer from Oyakata-sama is unthinkable."
Onui would interrupt him, but the truth is Sanemi kind of scares her. Though she had a job to do, so she handed him back his sword. As soon as she did the door of her shop opened again.
"Hello, welcome to-"
Onui stopped as she saw Yozora enter the building. Though the look on his face caught her off guard. Yozora had a face full of despair. Sanemi turned around and looked at the boy.
"It's you, huh? I still don't see why you denied an offer like that. You must be insa-"
Sanemi was caught off guard when Yozora bowed to him. Onui was surprised because Yozora never done something like this so she knew something serious happened.
"Wind Pillar......please.........HELP ME SAVE TASUKE!!!!!"
