Chapter 58 Demons, Greed, and a Hero

~Timeskip,3 days~
Yozora was training outside in the backyard of Onui's workshop. He was seen using the swords littered on the ground in various ways. He was hoping to create a new fighting style by utilising swords around him.

"Demon slayers often lose their lives on their missions. This style isn't just about helping me kill a demon, but its also a way to pay tribute the fallen demon slayers as well."

Yozora was using Total Concentration as he swung the swords. He was focusing all the power into his arms when he was swinging his blades, which made his strikes faster and stronger. Soon his kasugai crow flew and landed on the hilt of one of the swords he was about to use.

"Moon Pillar Yozora!!!!! Head to Kyoto!!!!! Oyakata-sama wants you to head to Kyoto!!!!"

After receiving his mission, Yozora went inside. He grabbed his nichirin sword and puts on his haori. As he does this Onui and Nora walk up to him.

"Yozora, please be careful out there."

"Make sure to come back to us. Onui and i will be waiting for your return."

Yozora looked at the two girls as he hugged them close to him. Both Onui and Nora felt their faces turning red. However when they felt Yozora's hands shaking a bit, they started to hug him back.

"Don't worry, i'll come back. That's something i can guarantee."

Yozora lets go of the girls as he heads for Kyoto. This would be his first mission as a pillar and he was determined to get it done.

"The Tenth Hashira, the Moon Pillar. With this title i was given, i now carry a bigger responsibility. Akame......i'm getting closer to being a hero of justice, even though i made countless mistakes. So please lend me your strength."

After saying this, Yozora begins his journey to Kyoto. He was determined to not let anyone else die again. This time he'll create an outcome where no one will lose their life.

~In Kyoto~
It was the middle of the night as a boy with pale skin, lavender eyes, and dull green to black hair was walking the streets. He was walking back to the place he currently stays at as he was done gathering supplies. He was in Kyoto because of his previous hideout was discovered recently.

However little did he know,  the man who was causing trouble in Kyoto caught sight of him. The man could tell this boy was just like him. Both him and the boy he saw were demons. However, what really caught him off guard was where the kid was heading. He saw the boy walk around the corner, but he heard that was just a dead end.

Soon the man decided to check it out. When he walked around the corner he saw the boy was gone and he was just staring at a wall.

"Heheh. I gotta say, that's a neat trick you got there kid. Looks like things might get crazy in this boring city."

~With Yozora~
Yozora was now entering Kyoto. He looked around and saw most people were scared for some reason. As he walked around the city he felt a demon's ki nearby. He ran as fast as he could to the source, but as he got close he realized something.

"This ki.......its a demon's yet i sense no hostility from it like the others."

As he was too focused on the ki, Yozora bumped into a young looking woman that was walking out in front of him. After bumping into her, he reached a hand out to her.

"I'm so sorry miss. Are you okay?"

"Yes i'm fi-"

The woman stopped in the middle of her sentence when she saw Yozora's face. For a moment, instead of Yozora she saw someone else and wondered.

"How is he alive?! No wait....that's not possible. A human couldn't live that long. Plus he looks too young and yet why? Why does he look so much like that man?"

As she looked at Yozora more, an image was played in her head. She couldn't help but compare Yozora to the man she saw all those years ago.

"Um miss, are you alright? You've been staring at me for a while."

"Yes......may i ask who you are."

"Oh, my name is Yozora. Once again i'm sorry for what happened earlier."

"It's alright. My name is Tamayo. It is nice to meet you, Yozora-san."

Soon Yozora decided to walk with Tamayo. He didn't know why, but his instincts told him that leaving her alone was a bad idea. For Tamayo, she was just too surprised at how much Yozora looks almost exactly like someone she met in the past.

"I can walk by myself, Yozora-san. My home is not too far."

"Okay, just be careful. There's bound to be something dangerous lurking at out at this time of night."

Having said their goodbyes, Yozora decides to stay at an inn nearby. As he walked in he passed by a man with pitch black hair and red eyes. However what threw him off guard was the man's ki.

"What the hell.....its not the same but....why did his ki feel like Onui's?"

~With the man~

"My name is Greed. Let's just say nothing here is satisfying. The guy that turned me to a demon said if i become one i could have it all. Money, women, fame, status, but that's not enough. I want the whole world. Though i lost a good chunk of my memories."

Greed is seen walking down the streets of Kyoto. He was curious about the spot he saw earlier, so he wanted to investigate it. As he walked there he caught the scent of two demons.

Soon he stood in front of a dead end. There was nothing but a wall blocking his path, yet he could still pick up the scent from behind it. Greed soon smirks as he takes his step forward.

"Heheheheh. Looks like i found some prey. Time to have some fun and to raise some hell."
