First time writing for Lewis anon request so thank you and I hope you enjoy it! xxx

Lewis woke up to an alarm going off. He slapped it, making it shut off and he opened his eyes and looked around the unfamiliar bedroom. It definitely was not his because his dogs weren't up licking his face to get him awake. He heard the front door slam as he stumbled to the window to see who's house, more importantly, who's bedroom he was sleeping in. He saw a girl with y/h/c and casual clothes walk out with a set of beats headphones over her ears and it seemed as though she was walking to whatever beta was being played. He grabbed his shirt and threw it over his head, running down the stairs to maybe get some way home. He opened the door and walked out into the crisp morning air of L.A? How did he end up there? He was in Montréal yesterday.

He put his hands into his pockets and felt nothing. No wallet, keys, phone. Nothing. His phone must have been on the nightstand up in the room but now he closed the door and it was locked. "Damn." he muttered in frustration. He looked to the girl with the headphones on and decided to follow her and maybe ask to help him out. He set out following her, but not too close. He admired as she head bumped to the music and occasionally danced. She hopped onto the bus so naturally, so did Lewis. He sat near the back as he watched her gaze out the window into the hot streets of L.A.

The palm trees passed the window by and the sun shone bright. People came and go with smiles and waves of heat from the concrete rose into the soles of the people's shoes. The bus stopped and the girl hopped off. Lewis had just about hopped off too because if he had been there even a second longer, the bus would have left. She still had her headphones over her ears and she was humming along to the tune of Say My Name. She pushed open the doors without realising Lewis had followed her and set her bag down on a chair. She fixed one table and turned around to fix another before yelping at the figure stood behind her. She threw her headphones off and caught her breath.

"Jesus. It's just you. What can I do for you?" she asked politely going back to her duties. "Well I came here to get the keys back into the house. I forgot my things in there and yeah. I just needed help." he replies. "And you couldn't have asked before I got on the bus?" she asked with a smile. "I could have but you looked nice without me interrupting." He helped her and took down a few chairs with her. "So why did you interrupt me just there?" He laughed. "Well if you don't want to talk, we won't talk. A good morning would have been nice though." She nodded. "Well good morning."

"What exactly happened and how did I end up in your house?" He asked holding his forehead from his hangover. "Let me see. I think we met at one, drank until too but you drank more than I did, we danced until four adn then I walked you back to mine and that's when I forget everything and it gets blurry."

One thought lingered around Lewis' head though. Did they sleep together? He didn't want to ask in case they did but he also wanted to know out of curiosity. "Sorry. I didnt get your name." He said to the girl. "Y/n and you're Lewis. You told me last night or are you still Seb or Daniel or Max?" she joked. He didn't remember referring to his friends last night. "You watch formula one?" She shook her head. "Barely. I'm not all that into racing."

"But you knew Max, Seb and Dan?" Now he was confused. Did he speak of them? "You don't remember? You told me your name was Seb, then Dan, then Seb before finally telling me the truth and you told at least one story about them on the way home and during the night. I slept on the floor." He let out a breath and she just saw it as a normal breath out but in Lewis' mind, he let out a relieved breath. "Wait, you slept on the floor in your own house?" Lewis asked. She nodded and began sweeping. "It wasn't all that bad. I just woke up in the morning and realised I was a bit slow because I could have slept on the couch." she chuckled, making Lewis chuckle too.

"I didn't catch your name." Lewis said eager to know her name. "I didn't throw it but my name is Y/n. I work here from Monday to Friday." He nods as he watches her do what she needs to do and takes in her facial features. Her eyes, lips, nose. "I watched your race yesterday. We were playijg it on the TV." Lewis didn't like how he won the race because he didn't feel like he earned it so he just shrugged it off. "It was alright I guess. A shame about Seb, he would have won it without the penalty." "I honestly didn't see why he got the penalty. He didnt do anything wrong. He lost control of the car on the grass and if you had gone inside you wold have beaten him." Lewis looked at her with his eyebrows furrowed. "Are you always this up front with people?" She smiles. "Yup. You aren't special."

"You know, for someone who doesn't watch the sport, you're very observant as to what goes on." She was always observant. She caught onto things quickly too so she always enjoyed finding or watching new things for that exact reason. "I'm like that. Do you want a coffee?" she offers. "Yeah sure. Thanks." She goes behind the counter and begins making the coffee, making sure it was perfect. "How long have you been working here?" Lewis asked sipping on his warm coffee. "A year, maybe two. I don't really keep count, I just go about my day and that's that. I could've been working here a week and I wouldn't know." Lewis chuckled.

"Can I maybe take you out? As a thank you for taking me into your home for a night." Lewis seemed to become. A little more nervous and he didn't know why. "Sorry. It's so much easier when the lights are out. If you don't want to go out, that's fine." She cuts him off. "No, no, no. I'll go. I don't get out often and the only reason I went out last night and bumped into you was because I got stood up anyway so yeah sure." Lewis gave a little cheer in his head but kept his cool outside. He might have grown attached but maybe he won't- who was he kidding. He was probably going to fall for the girl. It was justa a matter of time or maybe he already fell for her?
