Hunter's P.O.V.

Did they leave? I can't hear them. Maybe eating. Anything to get them away. But the sudden sound of footsteps. "Hunter. Everyone's eating. It's not like your gem is dark, is it?" "No. It's not. Please leave me alo-" "But Ed is crying! He could really use your support ri-" I open the door and rush to the living room, where they're eating as Luz follows behind me.

But everyone's eating calmly while watching the crystal ball. "You told me Edric was crying." I whisper to Luz in annoyance while Eda holds a plate of two burgers to me. "C'mon! You know you want to. Mmmm, just smell it." ... Just getting a scent of the food is making my stomach growl... Glaring while sighing in defeat, I admit such defeat. "Fine." Is said by me with gritted teeth.

Then sitting down with Edric once taking it. "I didn't think it would actually work." Edric tells Luz, showing he was in on it. But looking down at my chest, he gasps in awe. He's looking at my gem.

"It's so fashionable!" How many days before it goes black? "Don't worry. Just stay positive maybe you aren't cursed after all." He continues before Raine says something. "Just a thought. But have you thought of embracing your curse? Like Eda." "Hey yeah! Maybe Hooty would help." I give Eda a shushing gesture, not wanting Hooty to hear. "Hoot!" Great...

"You shoulda asked! I'm soooo helpful!" Please no. "Great! He can help you turn into a..." Luz stops at not knowing what the specific animal is. "A deer. I'll be a deer. Actually a wendigo." "Awww a de- wendigo? Vee told me about those. So Belos must be a wendigo... He doesn't eat people, does he?" "No, but he does suck the souls of palisman. It stops him from transforming." Everyone in the room shows their shock aside from those who're actually aware of what he does to them.

"Wait... What if I transform and eat everyone's palisman?!" Edric holds my hand. "Don't worry. Hooty will turn you into a half deer and things will be okay." I wish I had his optimism. Am I really going to have to depending on a pain in the ass owl?
