I aim my gun and fire without even looking but the bodies drop regardless. Villagers surround us all armed heavily with weapons, and I really don't feel like getting stabbed with a pitchfork today.

Leon beside me does the same, keeping Ashley close as she whimpers and puts her hands up to her chest, the poor girl is terrified. The villagers close in as we rush to an old wooden bridge, but now we're practically closed in. Just when I think we're fucked, a familiar face swings open the door to a cabin just in front of us.

"Hey! Over here!" Luis calls out, waving his hands to hurry us up. Leon nods and I grab Ashley's arm, dragging her towards the cabin as Leon stops to close a giant door to keep the villagers away...for a while at least. "Come on." Luis urges. I rush past him into the safety of the cabin with Ashley, asking if she's alright as Luis locks the door.

Leon, Ashley and I spend a few seconds to catch our breaths, but then Leon straightens up and storms to Luis. "You." He angrily says as Luis backs away, putting his hands out.

"Hey. Listen, about earlier-" Luis begins as I stand up straighter, feeling surprised and amused. I watch their interaction as I cross my arms, and Ashely beside me just looks around terrified still.

"Yeah, about that." Leon snaps, shoving Luis to the wall. Amusement gone, I storm forward and grab Leon's shoulder harshly, Leon swings his head and looks at me incredulously, as if just as shocked at the sudden change of demeanour.

"I get you're pissed, but can you get your hands off of my big brother." I snap. Leon's eyes widen as he looks between me and Luis, he blinks then relaxes, letting Luis go.

"Ey hermanita." Luis grins, I can't help but to scoff and smile back, it's been a while since I last saw him. Leon sighs and shakes his head, as if struggling to believe the situation. "So, you found your missing seniorita and my baby sister." Luis cheerfully drawls, Ashely narrows her eyes at him clearly unimpressed.

"Yeah, but here's the question, who are you and what are you doing here?" Leon asks, still sounding pissed. He begins reloading his gun as I run a hand through my hair.

Luis glances at the window and I follow his gaze, seeing more villagers approach looking as determined as ever. "Good question, unfortunately-" Luis mumbles, and Leon finally kicks into action.

"Hide. Now." Leon tells Ashely, who gasps and rushes to find a place. I look to Luis and nod at a piece of furniture clearly hiding a hole. We both grab a side, lifting it up as Ashley hesitantly climbs under and hides.

Now she's safe, we grab our weapons and head to the window, doing a headcount and analysing an approach. Luis grins at me, "Just like when we were little, eh hermanita?"

I frown and shake my head, "No, it's nothing like that. My dolls didn't wander about, and our bullets were plastic."

Leon gives us both a pointed look, but a small smile tilts his lips when he meets my eyes. "Game time." I mumble, then we begin defending the cabin as best we can.

Villagers pour in from the windows, their heads explode as they become more monstrous, I aim and fire, hitting my mark every time as Leon and Luis work together. Quick enough, I'm out of ammo and grab a wooden board as a villagers swings an axe at me, the force knocks me on my ass and all I can do is hold the board as the woman wrestles to retrieve her axe which is inches from my face.

"Y/N!" Luis worriedly calls out, my arms shake from the force and I'm getting tired. Just as I finally feel like dropping the board, Leon rolls over to me, kneeling beside me as he aims his shotgun at the woman's head, gore rains down on me as I heave and catch my breath.

"Thanks." I mumble, Leon's eyes scan me and he nods, "OK." He replies, grabbing my arm and hauling me up beside him. The three of us stand in a triangle like formation, and Luis throws some ammo in the air which I catch just in time, I load the gun and shoot, basking in the chaos.

It feels like the fight is never ending, but suddenly a door opens and Ashley shouts "Leon! This way, hurry!"

I waste no time running to the door, Ashley sprints as I follow, praying the other two are behind me. Rain hammers down, soaking my hair until we're finally safe for a while. We all pant heavily, but then Ashley breaks into a cough, her hand covers her mouth but when she pulls away there's blood.

"Wh-what's happening to me?" She panics, I wrap an arm around her shoulders as Leon turns to Luis for an answer.

Luis begins explaining about symptoms and some Plaga. I comfort Ashley as Leon listens intently, but from the tone of my brothers voice, none of this is good. "I have a plan, but you're going to have to trust me." Luis ends, pursing his lips as he looks at me, "Little sister, stay with them, it's not safe to be with me right now."

I frown and step forward, grabbing Luis' hand as he leans down and wraps his arms around me. "I want to come with you, we can help them together." I anxiously mumble into his chest. Luis pats my shoulder and pulls away, brushing a strand of wet hair away from my face.

"Stay with Leon, he'll take care of you, right?" Luis sternly says, looking at Leon with a hard look. Leon nods once, his blue eyes soften when he looks at me.

"She's safe with me. Besides, she can hold her own and I could use her help."

I sigh, hugging Luis one last time. "Be safe." I murmur. Leon gently grabs my arm, pulling me away as Luis takes a few steps back.

"I'll contact you later. Stay sharp Y/N."

I nod, watching as my older brother walks away into the storm. I clear my throat, looking up at Leon as Ashley approaches us. "We've got to get a move on, let's go."

Leon looks to Ashley, silently checking to see if she's okay before they both turn to me, but I'm already walking away. "Just like her brother..." Leon mumbles, following.
