Come On Doc

The helicopters begin to approach Alcatraz, I look out of the window to see five familiar figures waiting to be picked up, I quickly scan them as best I can from this distance, a wave of relief washes over me when I don't see any pools of blood or obvious life threatening injuries.

From what I've heard, Chris, Claire, Jill and Leon have already survived being infected with the virus, thankfully Rebecca reached them in time to provide the vaccine whilst I packed up my essentials and went with the pick up team, ready to provide extra medical assistance if necessary.

Plus, I just really wanted to come see if my favourite agent was okay.

As soon as the helicopters land I hop out, rushing to the group as my satchel thumps against my side. I stop in front of Leon, we both awkwardly stand there, our hands half outstretched to each other, but at the same time we step back.

"So, who'd you piss off this time?" I tease, nodding at Leon's few cuts and bruises, from what I can see, he'll be fine, but I still reach out anyway and gently tilt his chin left and right to check for...something.

His lips tilt into a half smile, as he chuckles deeply. "Well if it isn't my favourite medic, healing the world with her wit and humour."

I give him a pointed look as I step back again, beside us Chris snorts as he follows Jill into one of the helicopters, Claire and Rebecca head to the second as I turn around and climb back into the one I came in, unsurprisingly Leon comes with me, and sits next to me as we take off. "Do you want me to clean that cut? We can't have you getting rabies, who knows how the world will survive without Leon S. Kennedy."

Leon smirks and shrugs as he turns to me, I reach into my bag and grab some alcohol wipes and a small plaster, I smooth back his hair from his forehead and gently wipe, Leon doesn't hiss or wince at the sting, then I gently press the small plaster over the cut. Admittedly it was completely unnecessary, but the physical contact did make this trip worth it.

"Don't suppose you wanna grab dinner when we get back?" Leon asks casually as I lean back. I take a breath, keeping cool and uninterested composure, I don't want to be the young medic that falls for the older agent, it's just too cliché, but then again...

"Nope." I brush off, shaking my head for emphasis as the helicopter begins to approach the city of San Francisco.

Leon quirks up a brow, his head tilts in confusion as if he can't comprehend being easily dismissed. "Okay ouch, but why not?"

I can't help but smile, "Because I'm not into you."

Leon watches me with amusement for a second longer before his hand wraps around my wrist, I gasp as my eyes shoot to his darker blue ones, my voice lost as his fingers brush the inside of my wrist. I look down, avoiding his gaze, but it's even worse when I see his veiny arms with that black watch of his.

Damn sexy arms and watches, why does the combination have to be so hot?

"You're lying." Leon murmurs.

I narrow my eyes at scowl up at him, hating how easily flustered he's got me. "Prove it." I challenge.

The amusement grows on Leon's face as he leans closer to me, our lips are practically inches apart and I swear I can smell the faint trace of cologne on him, combined with sweat and other unmentionable things, still the allure is there.

"Rapid pulse. Dilated pupils. Erratic breathing, come on doc I thought you knew all this." He lightly teases, his eyes dart to my lips as I lick them, desperate to close the space between us. Thankfully the helicopter begins to land and it gives me a chance to pull away and tug my satchel closer to me.

"What kind of food were you thinking?" I say after a few moments. Leon's eyes momentarily widen, as if didn't expect me to actually agree.

"Anything, except spicy foods, I've got a trip home tomorrow and I'm not risking..." He leads off as I laugh, eventually he smiles too and shrugs, "Let's just stick with simple?"

I nod, then we plan to meet up later tonight at some simple restaurant that overlooks the sea. At my hotel I put on a cute dress combined with my regular lace up boots, I'm so glad I was planning on taking a trip to the beach tonight anyway hence the spare outfit.

I meet Leon outside the restaurant, and he holds the door open as we go in and take the table in the corner, it isn't busy at all so we almost have the place to ourselves, and just in time the sun begins to set in the horizon, casting an orange glow on the waves just outside the window. It's a beautiful setting, and oddly romantic.

"Shouldn't you be telling me to rest after today?" Leon teases, his fingers trace the rim of his glass of water, whilst I went with some wine. I shrug as the waiter brings our food.

"I'm off duty, we can do what we like tonight." I casually say, before realising how dirty it sounds, I blush as Leon laughs, it's so genuine and relaxed I almost melt at the sound, so instead I change the subject and begin eating.

Some time later, Leon pays for the food and suggests we take a walk on the beach. I almost roll my eyes at the idea but I'm having too much fun, so I nod and take the lead as Leon joins my side, both of us stroll across the moonlit sand, the only sounds are the waves as we just enjoy the peace, though Leon's eyes seem to be glued downwards.

"Here," Leon says after a while, I turn to see him holding out a cute seashell, "usually the date gets flowers, but I figured this would last longer, and it's kinda the only thing I've got right now." He looks a little nervous, but I smile and take it from him, I guess my earlier question is now answered.

"Thank you, it's pretty." I reply, Leon gently reaches out and tucks my hair behind my ear, his hand lingers on my cheek as my breath hitches.

"You know, I go on a lot of shitty missions and have to do some things I don't..." Leon trails off, "the point is, every time I come back, the first person I see is you, even if it is to make sure I don't die and leave the government in dissaray, but still, you always manage to make me remember who I'm saving, it's...thank you."

I step closer to him, his thumb brushes my cheekbone as I reach out and press a hand against his chest. "You're more than an agent Leon Kennedy. You're a man who's willing to do what it takes to help those who don't even know they need saving. I think you deserve more credit than you give yourself."

Leon swallows, then leans down to press his lips against mine. He pauses for a second, waiting for me to pull away or do something, but when my hand clenches into a fist and pulls him towards me, he deepens the kiss and indulges me into a leg weakening mini makeout.

We spend a little while longer just talking and kissing on the beach, until we head back to my hotel, stopping outside of my door since Leon refused to leave me in the street outside. We both stand there, not quite ready to separate yet.

"You know," I mumble, "you could come in for a bit, just for safety and all, I mean you could have a delayed concussion or-"

"Just invite me in Y/N." Leon chuckles, I frown but open the door and pull him inside, both of us laughing as we stumble around in the dark.
